Would you, if you were permabanned today, would you be missed by the community, or be as memorable as the last cigarette you threw away? What is your legacy on the Escapist? Is it etched in stone or is it just dust in the wind? I don't think i would be missed. Probably maybe known as "the guy who started a lot of threads" for a few hours and then be forgotten.
I would go so far as to say nobody would be missed, or even remembered, by the community. Mostly because the community renews itself so fast. Do you, for example, remember... Hm, I can't come up with any examples. Because I've forgotten about them.

I don't think so. I haven't done anything remarkably interesting.

Unless you like these....

Probably not, people don't notice me because I don't post that often so people wouldn't notice my lack of posting.
Ahem. Thank you. Seriously though, what happened to the days where a Gone Gonzo was rare? Nowadays though it seems a lot more common to see user with post counts of 1000+. That makes me very sad inside. Just needed to let that out; it's been bugging me.
Because there's more people on the site and time has passed so the people who were not gone gonzo's back in your day now are?
Why yes that is certainly true. What I previously intended to say is that it appears that the post counts of many are growing at a much faster rate than they once did. It just seems that posting frequency for individual users has seen a rapid increase over time. That's what I meant.
