I'd be tough-but-fair. If I really HAD to ban someone, I'd make it plain as day as to why they're getting banned, so that situations like people getting into an uproar over NoMoreSanity's banning wouldn't happen again.
This...but who was NoMoreSanity again? Completely forgot...I'll have to look at his avatar now, if hes still on record around here.
Edit: Uh-huh...Still doesn't really ring a bell, even though I've looked at his page. Oh well.
He was basically a very famous user here who, after he was banned, sparked two threads asking the mods to unban him. That's a small idea of how famous he actually was. The fact that he had over 10000 posts and was one of the few users to have Neo helped with his fame here, and a lot of people who liked him were new users who had no idea of his history, so when they found out that he was banned, despite Ultrajoe's explanation, people still thought other users had done worse and had gotten off lighter.
OT: I would probably be a normal mod. Give out wrath, lock threads, answer mod-related questions, the usual. I didn't realise there were other ways to be a mod, especially due to the fact that you need to fit a certain profile, loyalty and image in order to become one. You also needed to be famous enough for the other members of staff to recognise you, which includes doing all the above listed.

I would also probably turn out like this; I am quite strict on what I report and I do that a lot nowadays. Mod me would probably be that to a greater extreme.
