Final Fantasy 12. I LOVE the world of that game. The diversity, the history, the mix of classical fantasy with futuristic elements... yup, sign me up for a spot in Rabanastre.

Probably go with Calradia from Mount&Blade Warband. Merc life wouldn't be hard and I could kill all the bandits I want with no consequences.

I'd have to say the Fallout series. Life is miserable, but just living day to day is an accomplishment. In what other circumstance can just eating a sandwich be so satisfying?

I'd have to say Bioshock. Even though its our world, living in Rapture would be freakin awesome. Also the world of Pokemon would be pretty mad

Another one of these, eh?

Well, if I had the power of the protagonist, I'd choose Saint's Row 2, hands down. All day, everyday, I could literally do whatever the fuck I wanted to. I would have a small army under my command, and I'd be a rich, immortal one-man army myself.

But if I was just myself living in the game, I'd choose Pokemon. Being a trainer doesn't require anything other than the desire to be a trainer. And there's almost nothing else to do. So I would have a wonderful adventure with my Pokemon companions, not a care in the world.
Definitely with you on being a Pokemon Trainer, traveling the world with some companions sounds good to me. I want to be the very best, like no one ever was...

But there is also another possibility in all this and that would be Sims. Being able to control the neighborhood with all aspects of life, love and death could be quite enjoyable. Also instant summoning house hold items if you had the money would be awesome.

I came in here thinking FF8, but the first reply Mass Effect has made me think....I'm still going to side with FF8, combination of magic and technology is really cool and there's no looming galactic extinction!
Nah..just looming time compression :p

I was gonna go with a hentai game, but then every girl in every hentai game only goes horny for the main character, and if I'm not the main character, then I'm just gonna be surrounded by a ton of hot girls without getting any...ever. Torture.

So, I'm gonna go with a sci-fi setting. EVE Online or Mass Effect (Bandwagon, Ho!)

Elder Scrolls. There's something about a world where belief and myth literally shape the fabric of the universe, where magic is subject to philosophy and cultural identity, and where contending religious ideas are true at the same time because of the love and hatred behind them. And all of existence has a trajectory, unfolding into ever smaller and more tangled, complex pieces, mimicking the oldest story ever told until the end of time.
ummm... isn't that basically the Discworld without wisecracking Sir Samuel Vimes, Cowardly Rincewind, kind-hearted death, fat, spoilt wizards, the utterly insane Bursar, the devious Moist Von Lipwig, the street-wise Lao-Tze and the all around awesome Havelock Vetinari?

but, in all seriousness, it would be a toss up between Fallout (as long as I live in Rivet city, New Vegas, Underworld or Jacobstown), Albion (Fable), or Team Fortress, because I'm Australian, and in team fortress, we CONTROL EVERYTHING (except BLU, RED and TF industries)

AC2. And i don't mean Rome or Florence. i mean real world 2012. why, do i want to live in OUR world 2 years forward, you ask?
Because right now, College applications are biting my head off. and in 2 years I'll be IN college, hence bypassing the whole application procedure.
I know it's lame, but maybe i can be a college student "by day", Assassin "by night" deal.

OR, i could agree with everyone else and say Mass Effect.......yeah i think I'll just do that: MASS EFFECT!

I was thinking the exact same thing, and expecting that everyone would go for awesome force powers! Huh. I guess Mass Effect is more popular...

Also, I'd love to be the reprogrammed Revan xD
Oh yeah and also Pokémon is pretty awesome too!

Mass Effect... For obvious reasons spaceships and aliens FTW

and id probably choose to live on Illium
You'd live in Troy? Watch out for wooden spaceships modeled after horses.

Double Swoon.

Or Morrowind.

Extra-double swoon.

EDIT: Oh taff me, I forgot Thief.

Easily Pokemon. All these games people are naming are assuming that they'll have the same strengths and powers as the character they play as in the game. I doubt anybody here could handle being attacked by mutants/demons/aliens. In the pokemon universe, people are safe.
