Meh, I have 9.

If everything goes as plan, I'm getting another this weekend.

I'd love some Gallifreyan script. Not Old High Gallifreyan, but the 'modern' Gallifreyand with the circles and hexagons, maybe worked into a design with the seal of Rassilon.
I've seen Dalek tattoos and TARDIS tattoos, but they look really cheap and unimaginative to me. I'd rather something that reflects the aesthetics of Doctor Who that I love so much. Or some simple 'Don't Panic' logo would be fairly nice :)

In terms of video games, it would have to be a sketchy-style image of the assassin's symbol from Assassin's Creed, probably on my back just below the neck, right in the center.

And finally some French quote from Les Miserables, probably on my hip or the back of my shoulder, because Victor Hugo is the only reason I still love Paris.

even pro's mess things up from time to time. And to ignore the risks of something thats going to stay with you your whole life is your call. I'd rather have something that had less chance of sucking, because i see everything as a chance of what can go wrong and minimizing the risk.

And often a simple image can be far more recognisable and meaningful because of that.

You seem rather angry for what should be a civil internet discussion.
A) "civil internet" HA! welcome to the internet

B) It would be a discussion if it was actually going anywhere instead of you just saying the same thing over and over and over again. Fuck it's like talking to a wall.

It's clear you don't fully grasp tattoos and that you've never got one and probably never will.

Should he not have gotten that done just cause there was a chance that it could have gone wrong? It is an amazing piece of work.

Life is not about worrying what could go wrong, it's about living.

Now unless you having something new to say I will ask you kindly to go chew on a cheese grater.

I plan on getting a small heartagram (my avatar picture, for those who don't know) right behind my ear. A neat little place that's easy to conceal, but also easy to show off. A friend of mine has a biohazard sign in the same place, and unless you're looking for it or know its there, you can't tell, which is what I need.

I already have a tattoo it's a band logo from the first band I saw at my very first festival.
I want a gaming related one as it represents huge part of my life but I don't want anything generic. Not sure what I would go for though, have been thinking about it for a long time.

Im not saying people shouldn't do it
im saying its risk vs reward
and to me doing anything overly complicated is to much of a risk for what only ammounts to a small reward. especially if something simpley can convey the vary same thing with less risk.
How do you know that the reward is something so small? My mate got a tattoo, you know what it did, cemented his dad into his memory as he wanted him remembered, that's not a small reward.

You are shoehorning everyone into your small narrow minded view.

"especially if something simpley can convey the vary same thing with less risk."

you said the exact same thing again, proving a) you are missing the point completely, and b) that you need to go chew on a cheese grater... actually, fuck it, don't bother chewing it just swallow it please.

Got two.
King of hearts on my right shoulderblade. (Littel modified/metalfied.)
Cold army spider on my left shoulder.

Oh I want more. I would love to do up my entire left arm. I need to keep it simple for now just because I don't know what I am doing for the rest of my life.

At the moment I want black bands down the length of my arm. Perhaps with a little design centered in each.

Gona say..... for future work go with a dry heal method. You will hold deeper color. A n D just saps color it's just not worth it. Just use a medicated lotion. (Non scented) Several times a day.

I always wanted to have a tattoo of a harlequyena. Which is indeed a harlequin-hyena. I got some nice drawings already, just have to decide which style i want to get. And some money wouldnt be bad.

And stop using exact examples, the majority of tatoos are generic tribal gunk which looks terrible.
I'm going to ignore the rest so you can go have your cry down by the lake/river/park/local kinder garden sooner.

BUT I have to call you up on this little gem of stupidity, "stop using exact examples" you seem to be pretty shit at this English thing even tho your supposed to be from there(god damn some of the spelling I've ignored so far.) Wait you can't use specific example when trying to get a point across? WHY THE FUCK NOT? No really? If I want to illustrate a point to you how should I do it? By using massive broad generalizations that unfairly (and inaccurately) depict a subject group? Fuck it, suck on a stick of dynamite.

I would never get one, mainly because they look really really tacky, to me at least.

But if I would, I would get a tattoo of the triforce on my chest, then at the beach, rip off my shirt and yell as I unsheath the mastersword and charge into the ocean to fight the super Ocotorok

My wife has six; a variety of Greek and classical references (she's a classicist) from her wild youth, and a glyph that I designed for us on her forearm. (Warning: Big picture)

It's two linked Shen rings - Egyptian symbols for eternity and protection, from which cartouches were derived - with the initials "MOW" (Made Of Win) providing a rather pleasing, almost palindromic or ambigrammic symmetry. OK, so we're both geeks. ;-)

Now, if I were to get a tattoo... well, at some point I intend to get that same glyph, when I have the budget and get over my dislike of needles. I'm also tempted to get my old squadron's shield:

And on a more practical note, I've often considered getting important details - name and person number (=social security or NI number, roughly), that sort of thing - tattooed somewhere where they're unlikely to go missing in the event of disaster. Y'know, just to be sure.

if i ever apply and get in.

but have the words strike swiftly written on my forearms rather than on the boomerang and have the emblem in the middle. the other i plan to get in the future is a pair of hussar wings as a back piece that looks remotely like this (just the wings)
and this on my forehead

I've already got 4.
#1. A 'what were you thinking?'.
#2. A 'seemed like a good idea at the time'.
#3. A 'i must've been higher than MIR'.
#4. A small Canadian flag.

I wish someone would've told me about the "10 year" rule before I put ink to skin. Think of something you did 10 years ago, was it the same decision you'd make today? If someone had just mentioned this in passing way back then... I'd never have gone under the needle. Instead I had friends sitting next to me doing the same thing.
