What would it be? I don't know if I'd ever get one, but if I decide to get one, it would be this, on my left shoulder:

For those of you who don't know, the translation is "Rogue Squadron".
I'm too much of a needle phobic to get one myself, but I love tattoos on others. My partner has two, and I think they are incredibly sexy.

Maybe someday I'll get properly drunk and get one myself, but I'd have to be damn drunk. Needles scare me to a completely irrational degree.

Please tell me that is a Pink Floyd reference :)

I have a bunch I want to get, and maybe I'll even get around to it eventually :p

1 - The TARDIS on my left shoulder
2 - A phoenix on my right shoulder (somehow incorporating an ambigram of the words life and death)
3 - The Kanji symbols for "destiny" surrounded by important dates in my life (kids births, college graduation ect.)

Also the Hyrule crest is pretty badass :)

I wouldn't mind getting beati pacifici quoniam filii Dei vocabuntur on my left shoulder, just need to find something to frame it with or what to have along with it, or maybe just leave it as nothing but text, will probably take a while to decide.

Or, if one day I managed to become a Special Forces officer (very unlikely, but I don't want to rule out any possibilities for my future, or just give up on my childish pipe dreams), I'd get this, on my shoulder.

And if I had both, it would be crazy awesome.
I think when you actually get into the service, your views may change on getting an SF tattoo, even if you're currently in it. Well, could be different there, but that's the general feeling on military tattoos in my corp.

Edit: Just remembered, there's a guy at work with a KISS tattoo, but the KI have faded so much it just looks like he has the SS symbol on his leg, give him shit for it all the time.

Yeah, you're probably right. It's a candidate, is all.

I actually have a few ideas.

I plan on doing them together as a half sleeve on my left arm going up to my chest.

This one would be on my right leg. Just not as big.

If I ever did get a gaming-related tattoo, I'd go all out.

Sounds like a plan I may have to borrow. And, hey, why not add the red and white striping down the right arm.

also, I'm actually wearing my N7 hoodie right now, and the N7 is on the right. Just letting you know.

Which is completly understandable. I'm not really advocating tattoos, just, if there was a way for you to get a tattoo (be it the traditional way, or some sort of painless futuristic way that might involve something similar to a computer printer), what you're choice would be.

Frankly, if a painless way was developed, there would be nothing stopping me from getting a tattoo.

Well, in that case, I'd probably get something to represent each of my favorite characters. Their name, or a symbol related to them.

Actually, there's a tattoo I really liked when I was younger. I got it from an Adam Warren comic. Basically, a female character had a tattoo just beneath her belly button that read "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here" with an arrow pointing down. ^^ Laughed my ass off at that. And yet, it was also kinda hot.

Already covered, my friend. 2 sleeves and a good chunk of my right leg is done.

One of my favorites.

This one is posted on a few websites. Mez Love is a great artist and I'm glad I got a session with her.

Not religious, but I love horror films. Went with praying hands of the creature from the black lagoon with a fish hook and lead weights instead of a cross and rosary beads.

Double headed bald eagle. Why the hell not?

This looks slightly warped...it's because the orange in the middle is smack-dab on my elbow. Hurt like shit.

More elbow love.

There are a shitload more, but I'm not wasting time posting them all.

I don't know. I would have to think on it longer and harder then my attention span might allow, or get a tattoo along with someone else. I am quite partial to the latter as of now.

Gona say..... for future work go with a dry heal method. You will hold deeper color. A n D just saps color it's just not worth it. Just use a medicated lotion. (Non scented) Several times a day.
Oh really? The tattooist told me to use Bepanthen.. which is just expensive nappy rash cream  He did seem pretty gormless, wont be going to that place for my next one :)

What sort of lotion would anyone else here suggest? what did you lot use?. Im not even certain its essential but again, gormless tattooist says its important to keep moisturised :)

Simple.

Two dates, basic black text, tasteful font.

My wife's birthday, and the date of our anniversary.

Practical!
