On my left forearm, probably writing of some sort.
Before I wouldn't have considered it but I've thought about it a little more recently, not that I can get one yet anyway.
OR on the corner of my left shoulder come to think of it.
Either way, it would be on the left side of my body.

I've already got one planned. I'm getting the Metallica star tattooed just below the collar line of my neck.
They've helped me through some rough times so its my way of showing appreciation (you know other than owning all the cd's as much merch as I can afford lol)

I might get a smaller tattoo on my shoulder if I can work up the courage some day, and if it's not as bad as I'm expecting I may save up and have it done.
I would get it along my left arm, kinda like a sleeve unfolds along your arm. It would be black with with a red and deep blue colouring around it. And it would be my name in old Icelandic runes.

At least it's a bit more subtle than the Aquila(yes, that meens the Imperial Eagle) @Nouw posted.
It's probably not as bad as you think. I was surprised at my own experience as I was scared of the inevitable pain. It really didn't hurt. More than anything you'll probably be incredibly bored sitting there for hours in multiple sessions. Seriously, bring a book if you actually do it. Well, hopefully I'll receive a commission from the Marine Corps when I graduate (going to OCS this May) so if that works out the Eagle, Globe and Anchor will be a must. Other that that, I know I want something from Catholic symbolism, but not sure what yet. Possibly the Virgin Mary, or a Rosary somewhere.

An octopus on my lower back (right side) and a blind fisherman on my upper back (left side). Octopus is eating an icecream. Blind fisherman is about to lick a crab who in turn is about to clasp his tongue - mistaking a cone shell, you see. Helper dog looking bored is still an undecided optional extra.
It's stupid, but genius. Even if I say so myself.
The second is just some flower on my front. Sort of middle-left of my ribs. Left side. A friend has a similar one and it looked really good.
I'd also like a sleeve (or just a forearm half-sleeve) but I don't have any idea what I'd want. Not a priority at the moment.
