If You Were to Get a Tattoo...

I want a certain emblem on the back of my neck and I have a pisces tattoo of my own design on the inside of my wrist. Both are black and white... since I'm boring I would like to get a tree tattooed on my back and it is very colorful, but not for several more years.



OH! And a dotted line around my neck, with scissors (like the ones you see as a child that denotes to cut along the line) with the words "In case of zombies, cut here"or something.

And, I've got lip and nose pierced.

My right upper arm is this grim reaper looking at an hourglass in red and black that my friend drew up for me. I also have a symbol of sorrow on my left wrist and a skull with a red X on it on my right wrist.

Well, I've got five of 'em. I'm ambivalent about them. I got them from like 17-23. Now I'm 29, its hard to say that I still think they are sweet but they are a part of me. Wouldn't get them removed.

If I did get another it would be "It's better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand years as a lamb." on my ribs. Probably would hurt, not too much meat there. Bony parts always hurt the worst.

I want to get a tattoo of an hourglass on my right shoulder blade that would be about 3-4 inches long, tilted, no color, the sand would be almost out, and at the top and bottom it would say "This is your life..."

It's a personal reminder that life is short, that it is slowly ending, and to live life to the fullest.

I wouldn't, but if I were to, I think I'd get either the crown symbol from Kingdom Hearts or a bird design I made in high school. The bird design is significant because I made it as a design to be made into a necklace by a local jeweler, which was sold at a silent auction for charity. The piece gained the most money, was voted the favorite by the majority of those who looked at all of the pieces, and copies were made for another one of my teachers, my mother, my grandmother, and finally they gave one to me. It is now one of my family's most prized possessions

Actually, I had this amazingly detailed drawing of a folded dove wing and a mirror of it done in a jagged tribal that was going to be on my back. I just looked at it one day and decided it wasn't for me. Now I wish I didn't get rid of it but put it in storage.

....where would you put it? Would it be, large or small, hidden or in plain view, simple or complex, black or colourful, for attention or for some deeper meaning, or maybe you wouldn't get one at all.

I was rereading an old thread of mine about getting a tattoo. If I had the money, and if I had more long sleeve shirts to cover them up when needed, I would get two dragons going down my arms similar to Rand's from The Wheel of Time book series.

So for me the tattoos would be large, in plain view, sorta complex, and colourful. If I'm going to get a tat' then I want people to see it. I don't like attention, but this would be for myself 'cause I love the series and it means something to me.

So if/when you get/got a tattoo, what was it like? Was it for yourself, or maybe for your spouse, or were you just drunk? Would you get the apple logo, a roaring tiger, or a "I LOVE MOM"?

I would get a tattoo of my face on my face only slightly to the side

then I would stand in front of a 3D movie theater and ruin peoples lives
