It's a toss-up between the Beatles and Beck, for me. For the sake of not going with the obvious though, I think i'd probably choose Beck. His discography is both fairly long, and hops genres frequently enough to keep me entertained. I'd be happy just listening to Sea Change on a loop, though...

The Miracle of Sound guy, because his talent is broad and varied. Also the videos always go quite nicely (thanks Russ).

White Stripes/Jack White, the man is a musical genius in my opinion!
Eerie, read that and Steady as She Goes starts playing the music channel. Thats a brilliant choice, if you just pick Jack considering all he does.

I would choose Red Hot Chili Peppers. Wide variety, and I can always enjoy them.

Bon Jovi. Happily so. Providing that includes the individual members' solo projects (because I want to listen to Richie Sambora's Undiscovered Soul so I have Harlem Rain on tap!). Another reason is that over the years, they've done a fairly diverse range of musical styles (loving Lost Highway at the moment!).

But the biggest reason? They're my favourite band and I just love them anyway (she says, sitting there in her "Bon Jovi Forever" tee and her Greatest Hits tour jacket hanging off the back of her chair with her heart and dagger guitar string necklace around her neck). Isn't that reason enough?

I love music way too much to be satisfied with just one artist. I'd swim back to shore or die trying :p. That being said, I'd listen to Tegan and Sara while I build up enough courage.

Enter The Haggis. They have such diverse range and their music can be both Chaotic Maelstroms of song and joy and ethereal flights of depth and sorrow. Also they have a strong sense of both pride and unification in their lyrics shifting from songs about two fishermen from Newfoundland, tales of war heroes, to a man weary with age telling the story of his life. Seriously, if you're reading this, listen to at least one song.

The Gorillaz...

Sure Dinosaur Jr. is my most favorite band of all time, but their old and honestly I don't think they have a whole lot left in them... The Gorillaz will be around for a lot longer and have more diversity anyway...<.<

I will go for my standard answer to any thread pertaining to music and say Voltaire. I currently have The Devil's bris album on in the background actually.
