Actually, the opinion here is pretty anti-Eva.

I'd also be interested in being there, but instead I'd be a more sane person who'd help the characters in a sitcom-like fashion. I wonder how the series would have ended if the characters actually got help.

Trust me, we don't have a lot of those around here. The vast majority's opinion here (and a lot of places, for that matter) could be summed up as "Shinji sucks." Hell, I'm one of the few fans here, actually like Shinji as a character (he wasn't as bad as he was hyped up to be, and he did have it extremely rough since 4), and I'm being respectful of your opinion.

Same here, I'm a fan to. I guess people don't like the fact that Shinji doesn't grow stronger but weaker and more screwed up as time goes by. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
OT: As for worlds to be trapped in. I would say, Please teacher. The overall world seemed very serene and beautifull and calming.
