Keiji Inafune, THE Capcom guy, said that Devil May Cry didn't sell well, especially overseas, so he was going to incorporate some "touch-Western" in the next title, which will soon start in development.

For some reason....I think this might be a good idea. The 4th Devil May Cry was.....questionable. Mostly because it seemed off to me. Not sure what to make of it.

But hey, depends what they mean by westernizing it. Perhaps they mean something good!

I just hope it still has that Devil May Cry charm.
I had to show that cutscene to as many people as possible.

Agreed. Devil May Cry has a very nice style of its own.

Uh.....I'm curious if they did that on purpose, or if there was some sort of inside joke from the writer on this. That was just.....I don't know what.

It was on purpose. The attacks with Lucifer are named things like Bondage, and Climax. It was very on purpose. Funny thing is, you can even do the rose thing in battle. It makes all the spears explode.
"The thrown rose is significant only in its insignificance."

Heh, nice. I never really could play the 4th devil may cry. Its only for PS3, which I lack, so....yeah, no chance there. But exploding weapons is always awesome...

Since we are talking about it, I would have to say that the third one is my favorite in the series at the moment. The styles, swords, and weapons were very enjoyable, as well as a good soundtrack.

Only for PS3?
I got it for 360. I got in a bundle pack with Lost Plant and Dead Rising.
Word of warning. They gimped Gunslinger mode (mostly) in DMC4. They did add one attack with on weapon in Gunslinger, however, that can break the entire game.

Hm, I didn't know that. I just thought it was for PS3, since it was only on PS2....Ah well.

So, they made one gunslinger perk that just owns everything? That kinda sucks. I mean....thats a first for the series I think. Whats the problem with it?

Its your last (only) unlockable gun, Pandora. Its a Devil Arm that transforms into a bunch of different guns. Everytime you shoot Pandora, it charges the Disaster Gauge. The Disaster Bar can be used two ways. If you are low level Gunslinger, you can use the "god-pod." Its a floating ... pod that lets you kill lots of stuff with heat seeking missiles. It also lets you fly. Trick is, you don't need any disaster gauge to fire the missiles. The missiles being the most powerful ranged attack in the game.
Not quite as effective as in the video, but close to it.

Hehe....Yeah. I remember seeing that.

Though, those missiles seem like they would break the game something terrible....So yeah, not sure what they were thinking there....Though, I noticed, Zero, you didn't bother to even wonder about the second one :p

So, Fallen Demon, you liked that cheesy stuff? I admit, the first one is in second place for me, so it was pretty good....and pretty damn hard too.

Hehe...Thought so.
Ya know, not enough games do what Devil May Cry did at the end of three....though, Ninja Gaiden 2 did something pretty damn awesome, having hundreds of little guys to kill.

Oh man...some of the bosses on Hell mode....just mean man. Just really damn mean. Usually the first ones too are the biggest problem.

Berial is the first real boss in DMC4. He's freaking impossibly hard on higher difficulties. DMD mode took me several tries to kill him the first time round (you fight him three times). The next boss? No problem whatsoever.

Yeah, usually you just don't have the weapons, skills....or whatever the hell it is you need to do. You just get your ass kicked...

Well, I usually don't do the harder difficulties though. I play for the style and fun here. So, being able to toss dudes around is awesome.

I like to challenge myself. Whats more challenging than enemies that can use devil trigger and dying in one hit? (Hell or Hell mode)

Well, I'll take a good challenge, but I want to feel like I have a chance. And taking one hit, as well as enemies with devil trigger just seems like a one way ticket for me most days.
