We don't elect the people that are labeled Liberal or Conservative, just the in between and it screws us over dang it! California is bankrupt for Pete's sake!

@Max: Well.....as I understand it, California is a Open Vote political system. This means that tons of older folks can vote for whatever, and it will get past as long as there is a majority. Meaning that lots of tax cuts, and then lots of projects passed with no money for them. But thats just what I understand...

@Unusual: Be glad you don't have the Prop system. Also tax cuts? Ha, Schwarzenegger just takes the money from the schools but he can't anymore because California is out of school money and the Federal Government cut us off, which is good, because they knew he was doing that. So now taxes are being raised to try an compensate for the tax cuts that should never have happened. We can't even pass a damn budget! They are over 2 months behind in passing it. Last year they locked the legislators inside the building all night until the passed one. Was quite funny. But now we've got a proposition that everyone in California can agree on: Prop 24 or the "Legislators don't get paid until they pass a budget" bill.

@Max: Haha! Thats awesome! I wish my state had managed to get something like that through....there was a time where there wasn't going to be a budget, and that people were not going to get paid. Funny enough how things got passed through all of a sudden, screwing over a lot of people, but the budget got balanced somehow....So yeah. Still pisses me off, as I wanted things to crash and burn.

But alas...instead, people got screwed. Good luck on your prop then! Hope it goes through...the bastards..

@Unusual: Things in California get overturned quickly. Case and point, Gay Marriage but I won't get into that. It was funny too because News crews got to see the inside and we saw some of them using their briefcases as pillows. One actually had a pillow and blanket in his briefcase! XD
