I've seen that before. But Galactus is mostly organic while Unicron is both Organic and Metallic.

Couldn't Galactus just eat Unicron while he's in planet form?

What would he be able to eat? He's got weapons all over his body plus he'd deploy his version of antibodies to stop him, which are basically laser robots. Galactus eats planets for nutrients and he wouldn't get much from Unicron since Unicron is mostly metallic. He's organic inside. If that didn't work Unicron would just abandon his body and get a new one. He's done it before.
