@Aprilmarie: See previous point on how saying someone is "too pretty" is just a cop out for some other reason that they really arn't allowed to say. And it sounds like your job hunting is fine, but online applications are rarely looked at. Its just how things go now, and there isn't much that is going to change that. Unfortunate and stupid, but I would recommend a job site where you actually send Resume's and stuff, rather than just applying. Better jobs can be there, and better chances since they are most likely actively looking. Just some small advice.
@xmbts: Yeah, but it isn't like many people actually listen. Talking is only as good as those who are an audience to it. Talking all day doesn't mean a damn thing when no one cares or listens to what you have to say, regardless of what it is.

@stranger well I'm doing that anywhere I can as well. It's just the ones who are heavily advertising for people and then you go in to apply and get the "well we only do online applications" and then don't look at them who make me seriously go "what?" or the ones that you can't find their application on their website and they have none in store....stupid fuckers out here.

@aprilmarie: There is actually good reason for that kind of stuff. 1. They don't do in person applications any more because it took too much paper, too much time, and wasted stuff just looking at crap applications who you would never hire. 2. Means that if you are not determined enough to comb their site to ultimately find their application means that they wouldn't consider you dedicated enough for the job they want of you. Its a kind of psychological test really. Pretty clever, and very effective
@xmbts: It isn't so much about hostility as it is behavior. How people act when they know particular sets of information is...important. Happens without most people realizing it. Sorry to hear about the injury though. Sounds somewhat serious. But at least you get a slight break for the moment.
