IGN Gives Uncharted 3 a 10 out of 10

What the heck are you talking about, if anyone has IGN in their pocket, it's Microsoft. Sony doesn't have the gall to rig reviews like MS does.

You don't seriously believe that do you? If MS is doing it theirs a very good chance Sony is doing it not that either can yet be proved but that statement is terribly naive of you. Of course IGN is so bad at writing articles and reviewing games at this point there is no way to tell if they have been bought or they are just being their stupid selves.

As to my opinion on the game haven't played 3 and won't buy it I'm a 360 fellow myself. But I played the two at a friends house I would have given them like an 8 maybe. So unless 3 changes alot of stuff I think this review is just exaggeration.

IGN gives out too many tens, every time you give a game a perfect score that 10 on your site is worth less and less.

Ya interesting thing that isn't it? Ah well, I hate reviews that give a number like that, Mainly cuz the different sites the numbers don't mean the same thing.

I don't really like any reviewers. But I've never played a game I thought deserved a perfect score.

No, I don't believe that, and I never said I did. All I said was, if anyone were to pay IGN to give false reviews, it would be Microsoft, it's exactly their type of work ethic. Also, it isn't naive to observe that Sony actually cares about their customers, instead of constantly trying to bleed them dry of their money.

But that's beside the point, there is no reason to hate on Uncharted 3 because IGN (can't spell ignorant without IGN) happened to give it a 10 out of 10, which isn't as common as you think it is, and is way less of a problem then you think it is. There is nothing wrong with handing out a 10 every year or so, because all a 10 says is "do yourself a huge favor, play this game", and if the only thing you can take from IGN is that, then that's just fine. If you want a REAL system of reviews, that realistically gives you an idea of how good a game is, go to Metacritic; there are absolutely zero games with perfect scores. Closest any game has come is 96 out of a 100, and Uncharted 3 is currently sitting on a 94. Make of that what you will, I'm done here.

I sorta agree, at least with the lasy 2, I haven't played the 3rd (although I doubt I will). Don't get me wrong, their not bad games, just a bit average? They don't deserve the glowing reviews they get, I suppose that comes with IGN and PSN and whatnot being in Sony's pocket.

Because games like Gears3 also got 9.5? All because they're Sony fanboys right? :/

All big games get really good score, I mean BF3 could be the worst game this year and still get 9's, like it does. Uncharted 3 getting a 10 simply means that well, among big games it shines, and I gotta agree, there's been 3 REALLY big games this fall, Gears 3 which 360 owners hyped, BF3 which PC owners hyped and finally Uncharted 3 which is hyped by Ps3 owners, 2 of those games are shooters with a not so varied colour palette, and the third one is Uncharted 3. Although all those games are big budget games with big fanbases ergo they get great scores, regardless.

Where was I going with this...? Well no big games deserves their "glowing" reviews, except Uncharted 3
(Yeah I'm a Ps3 owner and it looks amazing and deserving of a 10 IMO, u mad?^^)

A highly anticipated "AAA" game getting a high score from a gaming website! color me surprised, gobsmacked, flabbergasted, or any other word that can describe general shock.

Seriously though, this doesn't come as a surprise at all, I can respect the whole people got opinions thing and all that jazz, but lately I just don't pay attention to reviews, they spoil the fun and despite my best efforts color my opinion on the game.

I've gotten to the point where I don't read reviews of games, and let my own judgement on whether or not any particular game that caters towards my preferred play style, or if it just too intriguing to pass up, decide whether or not I'll purchase something.

I agree. I'm like that. And don't you hate it when you recommend a game to someone and they say, "Well, the reviews weren't that good actually." Well funnily enough, I know your tastes better than IGN, so shuddup and listen.

I don't think I could ever give any Playstation game a good score, since that piece of junk of a controller makes everything pretty much unplayable.

Funny, that was my only real complaint with UC2.

I like how a lot of people can't fathom the possiblity that the game is as great as its being made out to be, and the reviewers are being paid off to give high scores. Why don't MS and Sony do that with everything then? Why didn't KZ3 get 10s, why not Infamous 2?

Never played Uncharted.
I've seen playthroughs of it, looks awesome!
But there is no such thing as perfection!
Plus, I'm pretty sure the reviewer was subjective about that game: A minor flaw here and there.. NAH, I'll just give it a 10!

I think it's hilarious when a reviewer gives a game a perfect score, but whilst doing so comes up with a fairly long list of faults.

Seriously though, they gave this game a 10 in graphics while battlefield 3 got a 9.5. It is starting to look like the people over at IGN don't even play these games.

You are basing your opinion of them off of an arbitrary .5 difference in the ratings of two aspects of two completely different games?

I just think it is silly that they would go to the lengths of rating the graphics of uncharted higher then that of an obviously graphically and mechanically superior game that they reviewed less then a week before, just so that they could give uncharted 3 a 10.

Every time I see a 10/10 marking, I'm skeptical. Even if we take IGN's definition of it being as perfect as a game can kept, I'm still skeptical. I'd argue no game deserves 10/10.
