Kinda makes me glad that I've got a PS3 as well because there's nothing exactly amazing so far. Man I do love Mass Effect though, that's got to be in the top 5.

halo 3 odst above modern warfare 2????????? that can't be right

On that platform it's by the far more popular game. Bear in mind that it was out for a while before MW2 and MW1 is still one of the most played games on the system. Just because MW2 sold more than anything else across three platforms doesn't mean that it's the best/most popular game on any one of them, kind of a 'jack of all trades, master of none' situation.

No doubt as the price drops and more people buy it, it's ranking will increase, but for now I don't think it's unreasonable for ODST to be above it.

Halo games above Borderlands, I just don't get it, even above Modern Warfare 2. When will a internet game review site NOT suck up to Halo, nevermind Spike TVs VGAs do that too. They must think we're idiots, its not to say it's not a good game but it's not freaking CoDMW2, and it's not Borderlands.

Similar deal to what I've said above, it isn't sucking up to halo, halo is the most popular franchise on the console, whether you enjoyed it or not. Watch, MW will be top game, it isn't like halo was ranked particularly highly, it's just that, in reality, borderlands and MW2 weren't better games (and it would seem that at least a handful of people agree with me). In borderlands case, I'd even go on to say it was a terrible game, it's completely beyond my why it has such a strong following. Everyone bitches about pretty graphics ruining gameplay, but whenever a game that embraces an interesting art style comes along everyone embraces it, regardless of gameplay....It's just a grindfest.

I don't understand this in the slightest. If you're going to produce a list like this one (which is silly to begin with), at least have some consistency. The list doesn't match up with the reviews for each games, even. Halo Wars received an 8.4 from IGN, while every single game below it received a higher score, save Lost Odyssey.

I'm not normally one to criticize these things on forums, because so much of it is opinion, it's not worth arguing over. However, this list doesn't work, even by IGN's standards -- which don't make much sense to begin with.

I think how they made this list was that they looked at what each game did for the console and how it "upped the ante" so to speak, regardless of what they thought.

For example, Halo Wars was decent at best, but it showed that an rts can be done on a console. That is why it is so far up.

That's what I'd guess. And as long as they can acknowledge Mass Effect's awesomeness then I'm cool with this list.

No it wasn't "overly suck" it just could have been way better. It was just the same as Halo 3 but diguised behind some weak new features. It has no multiplayer and firefight isn't really as fun as everyone makes it out to be.

That's not the same list, that's an older one. Bioshock and Halo 3 are now further down. Anyway, the new list is completely pants-on-head retarded. It's like the reviewers have their lips firmly wrapped around Master Chief's genetically enhanced wang. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the games, but ODST and Halo Wars being on this list is just insane.
