All Blizzards games can be played on Mac. Age of Empires 2 (possibly 3) is playable.

There's a few gems on this http://store.apple.com/ca/browse/home/shop_mac/software/games?mco=Nzk2OTgwNg

I heard there's a Mac version of COD 4

Install linux, get WINE. Now many Windows games should be at least playable (there's a list of what works you can find online)

Dwarf fortress. TRY IT. It's completely free, suprisingly in-depth, AND FUCKING FUNNY. It also has a very large and dedicated community and many mods.

Also, if anyone knows how to get Marathon to work on a recent OSx, please tell me.
Ask, and ye shall receive. [http://source.bungie.org/get/] (I think. I don't know what version of OSx you have, and what the upper bound is on A1 right now.)

I'm going to visit there again tonight, myself, as the copy of Aleph One I had running on XP doesn't play well with Vista.

I'm terrible at that game, though I do appreciate it.

Why is it that you can't buy games for your PS2? You just don't want to play a console? That's the one part that confuses me.

In terms of Mac games? I've had trouble myself. I've played through some of Blizzard's old games, but I seek more. I mean I have consoles so I'm fine for games, but I anxiously await the software so I can install Windows in Boot Camp (its being sent to me by my parents. Yay for parents). In terms of Mac games, you can go to the Apple Store and check it out. I was less than impressed by their selection, but you gotta go with what you got, eh? I know that there are some less than legal Mac ports of PC games online, but I haven't tried any of them and I somehow doubt they work very well.
I was just having withdrawl that night; I just wanted something I could play even when It was too late at night to really find any stores open around here.
And really, as nice as the PS2 is, I wanna play something that's not japanese. I've played my CoD2 and God of War to death, and am just sick of Squeenix for the time being.

*pff.. Mac... *snicker... GAMES! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Sorry about that, couldn't help it. The best you could do is boot camp, but then that would make it a PC... defeating the purpose of having a Mac...

Mac and Gaming don't mix, that's something they should include in their commercials...

Hardware, hardware, hardware. They come bundled together, but Mac OS and the hardware it runs on are not inseparable. Hardware-wise, I'd sooner trust a Mac to a family member than a Dell, HP, Acer, Lenovo or just about anything else. The only other company that seems to make trustworthy hardware is Toshiba.

You have no idea why you hate macs, but you feel that as a PC gamer, you have to hate them. That's the problem with you fanboys, you refuse to see the merits of the system you're trying to hate before you hate it.
When did I ever say I hate Macs? I never did. You just ASSUME that I do. And when you assume things you make an ass out of yourself.

By the way, I have never, ever bought a pre-built system since I owned an Apple IIE or my old Commodore 64. I build every system I own.

Just this weekend, both of my PCs died on me.
I've played every game in my limited PS2 library to death, and my 360 and N64 are at home...
I'm experiencing gaming withdrawal; are there any Mac games I can get quick without dropping an easy $50 on them?

Also, if anyone knows how to get Marathon to work on a recent OSx, please tell me.
buy doom 3

Why, is fixing a PC that hard for some people? Not that Macs ever crash either. Nope, that never happens.

There's a great disc called microsoft Windows. You put it in your Intel-based mac, and it lets you play all of your normal games. I do it.

Seeing as Macs are pre-built, you're excuse is plain, ordinary, garden-variety ignorance? Well, as long as nobody's mistaking you for a fanboy, then.

Man, you are an ass. Did you know that? I was not talking about Macs as pre-built. I was obviously referring to PC's as pre-built. Your insulting attitude is very rude as is your arrogance. I was not insulting you nor was I attacking your way of thinking as you are now doing to me.

It is also obvious that you are an Apple fanboy. See, that is the issue with Apple fanboys. You all think you are better than the rest of us "PC" users because you use a Mac. Which is a total joke of course. Why is it a joke? Because both are just computers with different OS's. That is all they will ever be. I happen to think Macs are good systems. A bit over priced, but then everything Apple makes is over priced. They are like Sony in this regard. But like I said, both PC's and Macs are nothing more than a tool to be used. Neither is inherently better than the other.

I also don't care if you report me for this either for calling you an ass. Let the Mods see how you were acting. It will be obvious to them in the end.
