Dunno if they're on Kindle, but the Mythago Wood series by Robert Holdstock.

Gritty, celtic fantasy with no elves or anything to speak of, only incedible characterisation, terrifying scenarios and ambiguous endings.

I have a feeling that if I tried to get all these it might be a bit over 4gb :p
(4gb being the kindle's hard drive space)

not that i'm saying stop :p

I'm basically putting all these in a .txt file for later

pretty much anything by Brandon Sanderson, but especially the Mistborn Trilogy.
pretty much anything by Neil Gaiman *
pretty much anything by Terry Pratchett *
pretty much anything by Douglas Adams * (just make sure it's actually by him, and not just based on his creations... Hitchhiker's fanfic is a crime against art and humanity)
A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin (A Game of Thrones, etc. however, be aware that it's probably the greatest series you will ever read, and it will NEVER BE FINISHED!)
Perdido Street Station and The Scar by China Mieville

* you may notice a trend on this thread, considering almost every other person has recommended these authors.

OP: In addition, if you just read "Good Omens" and like it, get everything by each of the asterisked authors.

EDIT Oh and thanks everyone so far... I think I'm not gonna have any free time for the next year or something XD

yeah, that's a very good starting point. if you like "Good Omens" (which you probably will) you'll like Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, since they co-wrote it. and if you like Terry Pratchett, you'll almost definitely like Douglas Adams.

i would also be tempted to recommend the Wheel of Time series, by Robert Jordan (and Brandon Sanderson, after Jordan died), but the first book isn't that great, and the series is pretty weighty. rewarding once you get into it, but very daunting.
there's a ton of other stuff i could recommend, too, but... yeah, list could get real long, real fast.

Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky. An excellent read, particularly if you're into games like Fallout or have played Metro 2033.

My dad tried getting me into Terry Prachet a while a go but I didn't really get into it, although I was a kid and didn't really read so... yeah I think it'll be good to go and read them, I used to play the point and click style adventure game for the ps1 (which sounds weird saying it doesn't have a mouse to point or click but yeah) and I watched one of the films recently and I enjoyed it.
