I've been drinking with friends since I was 13 (not saying it's a good idea) and I had no problem with it. Hell, I did all sorts of crazy stuff when I was a kid. However, when a few of my friends started taking drugs (pills/shrooms) I left them to it and found others to hang out with. They soon learnt from their mistakes (although unfortunately for some, too late).

Basically, if it makes you uncomfortable, don't hang out with them and find mates that are into what you're into. Don't give into peer pressure or do it cause they are. Serious.

While they're stupid for drinking underage, there's nothing you can do about it. Take your non-drinking friends and continue to have fun with 'em while excluding the drinkers. Sometimes in life you just have to cut your losses and move on while leaving someone behind who would otherwise slow you down or impair your growth.

It sucks, we know. Life isn't fair, and I'm sure everyone here on The Escapist has some story or so that would make people go "damn... just... damn..." if they read it.

Good luck with whatever option you pick from the other Escapists here, OP.

so you're friends with chav's. I say hit the one that looks the hardest in the face so you can take over as king chav.
Don't you need to eat their heart to take over as King Chav? I'm pretty sure you need to eat their heart to take over as King Chav. If you eat the King, you will gain the Bling of the King.
That was it. My chav knowledge is a little rusty for only knowing them from the outside.

How dare they have fun!?

Just... chill. Alcohol is a pretty standard thing to try at that age.

Let them have their own experiences. If they don't see the problem and you try to fight them over it then you're only going to cause more problems. Underage kids have been drinking since the establishment of a legal drinking age.

Chav lore is a lot like vampire and werewolf lore. There's a lot of bullshit misconceptions. What I'm trying to say it that you need to shoot them with silver crosses.

a large group of my friends went to one of my close friend's house. a lot of them left when some of them started drinking. im proud of them for leaving, but then there are 4 of my best friends drinking beer. they are all 13-14. i wasn't at that party, and i feel like i dodged a bullet. but i feel like punching all of them in the fucking nuts. i'm mostly pissed at the one the house belonged to for letting this happen. so, escapist, how do i take this out? what do i do? i can kick two of them in the ass, but the other two would probably piss on my grave.
First of all, good for you for actually caring about it. A lot of people regard underage drinking casually, but the police do not. Second of all, you should probably be careful about hanging out with them when there's the possibility of alcohol. I wouldn't go tell on them by any means, after all, they're a bunch of 13 and 14 year olds. They're bound to slip up and some point, and they will get caught eventually. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. And whenever that happens, the last place you want to be is with them.

So if they really mean a lot to them then you should probably tell them you'd rather not, and if they push you then make a point to say if they're going to drink then you won't be around them. They may call themselves your friends, but if they really were then they wouldn't pressure you into something you don't want to do. But if you don't mind ditching them, then just tell them you've had enough of their crap.

I don't know? Deal with it? Honestly I don't drink, one because I'm 16 also under aged, also I hate the taste, sure when you mix alcohol, you don't really notice it. But i also hate the feeling of getting shit faced, so thats why i don't drink at parties, I'll go. I just won't get high or drunk. Plus I'll remember the whole night, and not wonder what the hell happened. Who knows maybe when I get older I'll be a man and like drinking, but right now, I'll stay sober. So to answer your question..........I honestly don't know, I sorta made that post all about me.

If you lived in Scotland this would not be a shock.

And being "pissed" would mean you had joined them.

I was 15 when I had my first brew. I think its more fun to do it when theres a chance of getting caught. Now if they were drinking and driving or doing something a little more irresponsible I would call them out for it but this seems like a non-issue.

If you really want to do something, I would say approach the kid whose house it was at and tell him that his parents can get in shitloads of trouble if they get caught drinking there.

would the cross and holy water work too? I think I've held off some chavs with holy water before.

I don't see the big deal here.
they got really drunk. how can you not see the problem?
They wanted to try it, now they've tried it. It's a life experience and everybody should do it at some point.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'pissed'. It's rather vague and has a number of possible implications. Until one figures out the details of said specific emotion, they can't offer an accurate opinion on the matter

At the end of the day, OP, it's their decision. You needn't dismiss your friends for doing so, but tell them if you think they're getting too out of hand. It's something everyone should experience in my opinion, when you want to do so however is ultimately your choice.

What else are 13-14 year olds supposed to do without dodgeball and tag in schools?

OT: Sorry just came from that forum umm okay, I'm not into the whole "we mzt dr1nk cuz it's teh awsum!" but at the end of the day all you can do is control yourself. Not others, just you. So all you can do is let them come to terms with what they're doing and if they don;t and continue, nothing you can really do. People are gonna make their own choices, mistakes, happiness, only if they ask for your help or advice can you really do anything.

You've got something they don't: foresight.

You considered the cosequences (or just listened to your Home Ed teacher), ignored the peer pressure, and decided not to drink.

They've gotta face the consequences of their decisions. Stupid people do stupid stuff. You can warn them, but unless they want to stop you're better off trying to fly to the moon with burlap and bamboo.
