I started drinking around that age. It's not something to be proud of but most of us survive.

Just leave them to it, all kids will start drinking either when they feel like they'd like to start or when they get pressured into it. Just make sure you start when you want to and not before.

A lot of people regard underage drinking casually, but the police do not.
They kind of do, I believe the worst punishment you can get for drinking under-age the first time is a £20 fine and that's only if the police officer is feeling really harsh and you were doing it in public. Of course buying alcohol for children is taken much more seriously if you're not the child's parent or guardian.

If you really want to do something, I would say approach the kid whose house it was at and tell him that his parents can get in shitloads of trouble if they get caught drinking there.
Ok I guess this must be an American thing and if the guy I quoted earlier is also American I apologise, it must be much harsher over there. Here in the UK the owners of a house where under-aged drinking happens haven't committed a crime, especially if they were unaware of it. The police (if called) may tell them off for irresponsible behaviour and they may get in trouble with the other parents who would have to be informed but that's all.

At least they weren't drinking bears.
Why is bear so popular? =P

OT: But, I just learned something today about UK law. Since the law doesnt do anything really I guess I would just talk to my friends and let them know how I feel. I don't see how beating the crap out of them will help anyone.

I'm hoping they kick your ass for reacting in this way to be honest... get with the flow dude, underage drinking is normal (not even cool anymore).

So are you american PISSED or british PISSED?
If it's american, calm down and talk to them about what you think of their drinking behavior.
If it's british, realize you're a hypocrite and join them next time.

I feel like punching someone every time i see someone drink beer/booze.
However, drinking bears is very manly and i have nothing against it.

I don't see the big deal here.
they got really drunk. how can you not see the problem?
Does really drunk mean "in danger of alcohol poisoning" drunk or "very loud and obnoxious" drunk?
Because if it's the former then you should tell them that you care for them, and that they should stop endangering their lives. If it's the latter, you should call the cops next time or suck a dick, because nobody likes a whiner.

a large group of my friends went to one of my close friend's house. a lot of them left when some of them started drinking. im proud of them for leaving, but then there are 4 of my best friends drinking beer. they are all 13-14. i wasn't at that party, and i feel like i dodged a bullet. but i feel like punching all of them in the fucking nuts. i'm mostly pissed at the one the house belonged to for letting this happen. so, escapist, how do i take this out? what do i do? i can kick two of them in the ass, but the other two would probably piss on my grave.
Fail to see the problem here as well, teenagers do what they do, if you don't like it stay away. Case closed.

You're pissed off because your friends drank beer and broke the law? Seriously? That's it? It does not affect you in any way shape or form. You cannot force your friends to abstain from alcohol until they're the legal age. Its called free will, don't hate them just because they wanted to have a beer, chances are when you're an adult and you're at a bar or something, you'll want one too.

On the topic of Adulthood, why the heck are you hanging out with 13-14 year old children when your profile claims that you're at least 27?

Um...a lot of people get fucking smashed at that age, I, personally dislike most alcohol 'cause it tastes like shit.

But yeah don't be so mad because a lot of kids do this.

You do know that underage drinking is allowed in a private household as long as the home owners constent (at least it is in Canada). So as long as who ever holds to the deed to that hosue constents you're SOL my friend. If you don't like it, don't do it and leave your friends be (unless they're fighting or breaking the law obv.)

By getting over yourself?
Sorry, but I honestly see no issue here. Your friends had alcohol. Guess what? So do most people. Unless they then threatened another's life, they should be allowed to do what they want, even if you do think they're idiots. Being someone's friend doesn't allow you to decide what they can and cannot do with their bodies.

Your profile says you're 28... aren't you a bit old to be so shocked and react this immaturely to a bit of drinking, and aren't you a bit old to have 4 best friends who are 14 years younger than you?

Rather than worry about children are up to, you should relax a bit, hang out with people your own age and maybe even go to a few parties yourself, instead of hanging around with kids, getting angry and wanting to beat them because they had a bit of beer.

As an adult, beating kids is never the answer, regardless of what parties they've been to and regardless of the fact the 2 of the 4 kids could probably beat you in a fight.

Even if you barely managed to kick the arses of 2 kids almost half your age, the authorities still wouldn't look too kindly on your actions, especially considering your reasons for being so angry.

Live and let live. You shouldn't give a shit about anything they do unless it directly affects you. I would not want a friend like you.

Jesus fuck, why is everyone so scared of alcohol? It tastes nice and makes you feel good. I'm just gonna go ahead you think people below you drink it and you're fucking clinging on to the higher ground so you can claim moral superiority.
