In Cod4 deathmatch, I'm a fan of sneaking behind someone and yelling "You are about to get knifed!" over the microphone. Knife the dude, but everyone else will turn around and check their back or nervously watch the kill details to see who gets knifed. Good fun.

Any mention of the name 'Malcom Vanhorn' around me and friends...enough said.

A particularly legendary game of Oddball in Halo 3 where I not only managed to defy gravity but went on to win the match despite being at the bottom of the scoreboard. I picked up the ball and began running, after a short while I was cornered and felt the best thing to do would be to jump off the edge of the map and commit suicide (resets the ball, doesn't it?).
Rather than dying I somehow landed on a platform elsewhere and decided to push my luck and keep running, I won with a lead of 38.

-In any Halo game, one of my friends calls a covenant vehicle (usually a ghost), the Holy Vehicle, and yells at me or another friend for desecrating it when we get in.
-Also in Halo multiplayer, I yell "GET SOME!!" whenever I shoot someone with a shotgun.
-Me and another friend play Madden '08 pretty routinely. Since there's no way (that I know of (besides audibling)) to pick a play other than the one you highlight, whenever either of picks a play action pass, we say "I wonder if they'll be fooled by the play action."
-Me and all three of the friends previously mentioned play SSBB, only character I'm good with is Sonic. Whenever a Smash Ball appears, they all yell "Don't let him turn into Sonichu!!!" We also have 4 way Olimar battles on the Pikmin level (who needs Pikmin 3?)

Me and my friends have turned certain characters into lifelong legends. For instance, Julius from Saints Row.

Basicly, Julius has an imaginary friend called Troy. In the mission "Reclaimation", my friend shot at Julius and managed to make him leave the team before the mission had properly started. We played through the mission, pausing only to light ourselves on fire and chase Troy about saying; "infected. New zombie" every time we caught him. Then we wanted to see what it was like with only Julius, and for some reason, it was much more funny. He got in the car and waited a couple of seconds before saying, out of nowhere; "Troy, you worry too much. The kid'll be fine" and as soon as we got there, said; "don't worry, playa! You stick with Troy and me, and we're gon' tear these bitches apart."
After that, we imagined what it would be like if every line of dialogue with Troy had been Julius talking to himself. The scene after Reclaimation with all the saints in the church was particularily funny. Normaly, Julius asks Troy to take down the Vice Kings, to which he replies; "not a chance." In our messed up version, it goes like this.

"Troy, you take on the Vice Kings."
He pauses a moment.
"Fuck you say?"
Jonny Gat steps up.
"Fuck that. I'll take the Vice Kings."

It takes up entirely new meaning, doesn't it? And that's only one of the many long running jokes we have with games, books, tv shows and movies.

A week ago I was playing a game of Halo with some of my mates and we decided to have Mongoose battles around Sandtrap with rocket launchers - like a jousting tournament. When the drivers got really close, the guy sitting on the back would jump off, and try hitting either the opponent that was jumping or the other guy that was driving.

So anyway, I was driving over a hill, expecting to meet the other "team" on the other side, when out of nowhere this gigantic rock appears and I do a barrel roll in midair. The even awesom-(er?) thing was that my friend jumped off, fired his rocket launcher at the enemy Mongoose, just as I crushed him with my vehicle. And the rocket he fired hit the other Mongoose, killing both of my surviving friends, and making the wreck of the Mongoose do a backflip over my vehicle.

None of us said anything for five seconds until I declared;
"FIFTY WACKY POINTS TO YOU, SIR!"
It became our motto whenever something totally unexpected happens.

-In SSBB whenever one of us is being Double Teamed we always scream out the "Leave Britney Alone", with whatever character we're using replacing Britney.
-We call Marth "Androgyny Man"
-Once me and my friends were playing Rock Band and I had the smart idea to jump over the couch while still playing the Guitar to prove how much I rock. I totally forgot I had left a Plastic Storage Box behind it. Needless to say I landed right on it, cutting my arm slightly in the process. I still ended the song with the highest score(only because they couldn't stop laughing). They always call me Rock Star now.

Whenever me and my friends play Smash Bros, and for whatever reason wish to whale on a single computer, that computer is always Ganondorf. Always.

With my group of friends, when we play COD4.
If any of us get a 7+ kill streak and call in a chopper, we start singing the death metal song "Hatredcopter" by Metalacalypse: Fet - James Hetfield (great show with good music). It is fun to kill whilst listening to Death Metal!!

Most of mine and my bud's in jokes tend to reference the Pro Evolution series. For one, since Pro Evo 3 Johan Cruyff has become an evil mastermind just because of the expression on his face in that game being so angry and evil.

Ditto for Ryan Giggs being a complete idiot based on his face in the games. His case hasn't been helped by the fact that whenever the game glitches it always seems to be him. FOr example, he's managed to fall over, get up and then fall over again all by himself and getting an injury. He tends to get stuck in the goal nets quite often as well.

when I first got a 360 and GRAW with it I brought it over to my friend's house and a bunch of us played the game from start to finish trading off every once in a while. One of my friends thought the name "Bo Jenkins" was hilarious and picked him to be on the squad every single time. The AI unfortunately wasn't the best and Bo had a certain knack as a grenadier for shooting either team mates or his own source of cover with the grenade launcher incapacitating the entire team at once. And this happened constantly. Since then my friends and I have referred to any AI that does something stupid with explosives as "Bo Jenkins".

Well with my friends it normally involved betrayals and then making up the dumbest excuses you can
"Oh, I didn't notice you were red."
"Shit you scared me"
or plain old simple
"It was fun."

Me and my mate Darren usually end up doing stupid stuff in Halo 3. We don't really help the rest of our team if we're doing Big Team Battle or whatever so we just basically watch out for each other.
"AMMA COMMIN!" is one thing we say a lot when we're on opposite sides of the map trying to find each other. "I saveded youuuu" is another.

Plus in this one game there was this guy on the other team who had the name "Tim" in his gamertag. Everytime either me or Darren killed him we'd say "C'mere Tim, c'mere. T..touch muh barrel" in the style of Tankmen. Anyone who has the name Tim in their gamertag or bio now get's the same treatment.

We also have the habit of singing Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler in the style of the club singer. But that's just to be annoying.

pretty much me and my friends have a "tag" in place for our running gag... (many of you have probably seen us) our tag is {HaXURs} this is because when we get together we are pretty often called hackers. we just know little tricks in games that REALLY pay off big. for example, one of my best tricks i use isn't in the game. but even my friends thought i had started using hax, its this ... http://www.n52te.com/ so beware, if you see us, we aren't really hacking, were just pretty good.

Whenever I start a match on X-Box Live I just scream as loud as I can, "LEROY JENKINS!" Nobody seems to get it. :p

When I'm playing with my regular friend on XBL, be it Halo 3 or COD4, I usually like to say "MY peanut"(you know, what Jack Sparrow said in Pirates 3, I do it while imitating his voice) when I steal a vehicle or melee him from behind. It always gets a laugh out of him.
