In Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I made my girl look as close as I could to me so I could get into the character. I grew very attached to her. Silly girl in her power armor.

Mass Effect made me think the Canonical Shepard's first name was Captain, and looked like a cross between Bruce Willis and Adam Savage.

Anyway, my fallout 3/ new vegas build is one I simply can't make without. He is a tall pecan haired man with a Chuck norris beard, he prefer Western guns, Whiskey and a good duster. British accent of course... in my head. sometimes the characters I make just seem to come alive.

I insist on at least TRYING to complete games with Mage-type characters where they're available, and the suitable replacement where they're not (Adept in Mass Effect, for example)

When Mage option is ridiculously annoying or I can't seem to play it well, I go for a rogue-type stealth-and-assassination based character.

I like in games where you're able to customize your character gives you options on how to tackle problems differently like in fallout...eventhough everything is basically around looting.

For me in Mass effect the only thing important to Shepard is that his first name is Jesus and he basically uses pistols.

Onlyu in Saints Row 2 and ME do I feel this way. I have red hair, and if my character doesnt, It bothers me. So while the character can change, they will always have red hair... must be a ginger thing...

I usually tend to play my Soul Calibur games with characters designed after me and my friends or characters from my stories and feel weird playing as the regular characters.

Nope. I usually mix my characters up when I play a game for the second time. Except in the case of my imported ME2 character. I made sure that Miss Shepard looked as same as she did in the first game.

I learned long ago, tweaking with everything will make everything turn retard, gotta start with the frame work first, find a hair style that works, then what facial structure do you want and keep that image in your mind of what you want the character to look like.

Yes. A million times yes. Nobody can convince me that Commander Shepard isn't an African-American woman and a Paragon. I don't care what anyone else says or what countless other Shepards I have seen on YouTube look like. Mine is perfect. =P

For Mass Effect, which I think is the only game I've got where you can customise the character's appearance, I've stuck with the same appearance for Shepard and imported her into Mass Effect 2. Something about that one particular appearance just seems right for the character.
