I remember once way back, when I played PGR3 from about 7am to 11pm, all in one sitting, with breaks only for eating, and toilet breaks. So 16 hours is my max I think, although it may be more or less depending on how good my memory is.
In a competition, I reckon I could go for about 30-40 hours, I can handle well without any sleep whatsoever, and I love playing games. I would never do that without some sort of prize at stake, I would probably have other things to do, or get bored halfway through.

the longest straight gaming session i have ever had was around 14 hours, ive gamed for longer than that but i took bathroom breaks and food breaks( to make food not eat it)
For money? I would sit there as long as I needed to win. Though I couldn't tell you the longest I have gamed for in one session I have had plenty that have entered the late teens and the 20's.
I'd assume my longest sessions are usually less than six hours, but I do 3-hour sessions pretty regularly, ever since I got back into Fallout 3, Team Fortress 2 and Minecraft.

I don't know how long I could play without sleeping, but my record is probably somewhere between 5-8 hours. That doesn't happen often though. I would be very sad if I did catch myself playing 8 hours a day.
I think my record is around 10-20 hrs. I am not sure, and I don't even remember the game. Pretty sure it was Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, although it could have been any game, or multiple games.

i've spent 12 hours straight playing horde mode on insanity in Gears 2, we only died once. and we beat the horde about 5 times.
I can't now (having to pay rent and all), but back in the day i could easily spend all day playing Morrowind, so i think about 12 hours.
When MW2 came out me and my friends spent about 33 hours straight (toilet and food while waiting in a lobby)

18 hours. After that point there's splitting pain in my eyes so long as they're open, and frankly, no game is worth that kind of pain.
My record is 70 hours of Star Wars Battlefront II vs each other playing the mode where you have to conquer all the planets (its late and I can't remember the name of it for the life of me). Maybe 1 hour in that was used for bathroom breaks and food. It was beyond ridiculous. We ended up sleeping for literally 24 hours afterwards. Best weekend ever, but never doing that again. I couldn't look at a TV or a computer screen for at least a couple days after that...
