Excellent read, and you have made dozens of valid and intelligent point.

To add on to your description, in my opinion the biggest question here is whether or not developers will feel the need to appeal to their fanbase by giving them what they want, or appeal to their wallets by taking away what they believe will reduce the probability of sequels selling amazingly well.

Many people have pirated the game not beacause they are cheap bastards, or beacuse they hate IW, but simply because they do not believe the game to be worth 60 hard earned dollars. If IW were to do one of those "pay what you want" deals (Which they obviously won't because they are mainstream greedy fucks), and people paid honestly what they thought it worth and not just 2 cents, I am certain that the range would fall between 15-25 dollars. That's what I would pay. The game simply doesn't have enough features and benefits that we PC gamers are used to, reducing the value for us completely! The SP was pathetic, obviously rushed and churned out, and the MP suffered from... well you know.

The main thing that developers need to see is that giving people what they want can sometimes actually be more profitable than the "Bobby Kotick" method of churning out sequels that everyone will buy, or sub-par DLC that everyone with half a brain WON'T buy.

Alas, until the console players realize that what they are playing could be so much better, or just brain up in general, we are looking at a bleak future for PC enthusiastic developers...

I'll just copy/paste what I said in the other pirate MWF2 thread.

Developers need to put through their heads is that you should NEVER remove features that just screw over your paying customers to try to get rid of pirates.... You can NEVER get rid of pirates, you just inconvenience them.
Double post ftw.

Also adding on, many developers make such excellent games with such amazing online support, that many potential pirates feel ashamed that they are pirating it, or if not that they feel they are missing out on the superior online experience.

TF2 is a prime example, beastly hard to pirate, amazing fun when purchased, excellent price with tons of awesome features that are constantly being upgraded, and just all around win. If any developer wants to make some real money without pissing off everyone and everything PC related "cough" IW "cough", just take the concept of TF2, make it an original idea, and charge 60 bucks for it. Bam. Millionaire drive.

Oh noes a spoiled little brat called me a douche. I am going to go cut myself. Since when does any corporation owe you anything other than the products you paid for? This crying temper tantrum may work on your mommy to get you that chocolate bar at the store but newsflash corporations owe you NOTHING!!
Your a hypocrite.

Let me explain, you are having an argument on a forum entirely based upon your assertion that the corporation has done no wrong, from your perspective.

You are quite entitled to have your opinions, but you are telling me I shouldn't give others my opinion because according to you it's 'wrong'. Yet here you are throwing a 'temper tantrum' as you put it yourself about others throwing a 'temper tantrum' about something else. How little I care what you think at this point is immeasurable. I won't be replying to another one of your comments as I don't like to feed forum trolls. Have a good day :)

Actually you are the one crying because a company who provides a luxury entertainment didn't listen to YOU. Like your opinion is all that matters. You have no rights in this arguement. NONE. Why because they didn't do anything that affects you other than make a product you don't approve of so you didn't buy it. Then you start name calling and get pwned so you run away. Troll is as troll does I suppose. I really should have seen that coming after your last little temper tantrum when you didn't get your own way.
