In what movies did you WANT the bad guys to win?

Robin hood films.
The whole "Take from those who have too much and give to those who have too little" really annoys me.
Maybe the man has too much because he earned that fortune through a life of hard work and then a bunch of work-shy arseholes calling themselves "the merry men" rob him and give a little bit of the cash to some poor people and spend the rest on having picnics in the forest

Although not technically Robin Hood, a good example of what happens when the rich give too much to the poor is Blackadder's Christmas Carol... I guess the bad-guys sorta win... if you can count Blackadder as a Villain.

Every werewolf movie ever. I think that's why the sub genre (if it can truly be called that) is so interesting when done right; The antagonist and protaganist are often the same person, often openly so to the audience, meaning you want the monster to stop killing people, but simulateously want it to escape from those that hunt it.

"Dog Soldiers" - at least I am pretty sure that's the name of it, is probably the best werewolf movie out. They really do act convincingly, none of the cliched,"You got to fight it!" and the werewolf stops and holws then runs away.


Also, in Avatar.
When did humanity, the undisputed masters of genocide and slaughter lose all their bloodthirst and gusto? We've got enough poison gas, biological agents, and napalm to kill pandora seven times over.

I mean, the scene at the end where they just slowly fly over the stupid stree to drop some sandbags filled with gunpowder was rediculous...they must have lost missles or something.

Harry Potter.

In my opinion, Voldemort deserved to lose. Not because of karma, or anything like that, but because he's such a fabulously evil villain. Most bad guys at least pretend they're doing something right; Voldemort calls himself 'The Dark Lord' and spends most of his time being massively evil for shits and giggles.

He had it coming.

Snape, on the other hand, treads the perfect path between rightiousness and badassery. He should take the pair of fools down.

I agree Snape is definitely my favorite character. Also I do enjoy Alan Rickman in just about every movie he's been in so that doesn't hurt Snape's portrayal at all.

Law abiding citizen. Instead of the usual snore inducing reflection of 'what if he was right' by the 'good' guys, we could have been left with the much more interesting question of 'well what the hell happens now?'

Plus, his method of laying the final bomb was so ridiculously, unbelievably obvious compared to the rest of his plans that it felt fake.

The entire third act really felt like it was being inserted out of nowhere. The lead up to it would suggest that the DA's wife and child would be next on the block, probably in some way that would implicate the DA in the entire string of crimes throughout the film.

Also, maybe Law Abiding Citizen, although I'm not entirely sure who was what in that film...

Yeah, that's the tricky part, throughout the film the DA seems to be more of the villain getting his own, rather than a genuine protagonist.

Either way, Gerard Butler's character was definitely the one I was rooting for towards the end of the film.

No, I also don't support degrading the serious issue of human trafficking down to poorly choreographed and badly executed violence.

Also, Krull had Liam Neeson. Liam Neeson has a greater capacity for awesome than most people, but it is not unlimited. Even he couldn't save this shit.
