I got me Duke Nukem Forever in a steam sale and actually enjoyed it. I don't play many games to completion these days but I did actually finish it, which is something. It retained my interest. Yes it was a bit rubbish in places, it was a Frankenstein's monster of different devs and it looks like everything is covered in a veil of cellophane, but it was so stupid that I did actually have a bit of laugh at it.
I enjoyed DNF too. To all those who did and didnt play the Doctor who cloned me DLC I would recommend getting it.

p.s. in the main story, and on the hardest setting I never got past the very first rushing boar in the casino :(

That game's still boss in my books!
We're going super Sonic Racing~

OT: I guess Sonic 06 because every time I play it, there's always that gleam of hope that I am playing a decent Sonic game overall... (and then I die from a "glitch"... again...)

Other than that, the DS Kingdom Hearts games because they both had their own unique ways of both combat and leveling/stat boosting... 358/2 Days had it's tetris-style equipping of keyblades, items, and levels/stats while Re:Coded had power grids/"micro chip" equipping/boosting alongside Birth By Sleep's command deck and command synthesizing... Then again, this could technically be a "honorable mention" since the formal was filled with repetitive missions that [almost] overstayed their welcome in the gameplay department and the latter seemed "pointness" in the story department, anyway, that it negates anything positive about the game itself...

Despite the generally poor reviews, I love the Atelier series of PS3 games. That being said I don't think people consider them 'infamously' bad.

Hmmm, Jagged Alliance: Back in Action. That got universally panned ... I actually started to enjoy it when I got into the mindset of "this is NOT JA:2!"

JA:2 is one of my all time favourite games. My own custom character with dual pistols and more action points than any other fucker I'd meet. Popping heads. But when I thought of JA: BiA as a game that has nothing to do with Jagged Alliance, I actually started to like it.
I never played JA2, and I can get that its a fucking good game at what it is, but I dont see how that makes JA:BiA bad as everyone else does.

I really liked JA:BiA (it had some issues, in terms of commands something like 7,62 High Caliber is more advanced) but it had something cool going on with the real time stop-and-plan thing, it was like a mix of Commandos and Frozen Synapse.

Dragon Age 2 wasn't bad, it was a great game...the best game in the series (and still is)... when has it ever been considered infamously bad?
Jesus Christ, no, it was certianly not the best game in the DA series. That's not even an opinion, man. It had some cool characters going for it, but the rest of it was reused maps to the point where you'd have to wonder if they did it to be deliberately insulting, along with horrible combat with little to no strategic thinking required. EA pretty much destroyed the game by trying to make it appealing to the "console crowd" (whilst alienating DA:O fans) and by rushing it out the door before it was anywhere near finished. Sorry, but Fenris rivalmance or whatever does not make up for all of that.

Some times I wonder whether people have any standards at all. See, it's crap like this that makes people like EA think they can get away with mediocre stuff like DA2. I would class DA2 as the worst of games simply because of What Could Have Been. On its own, sure, it's a 6/10; seen worse, seen better. In the Dragon Age series, however, it really should have been called Dragon Age 2: Wasted Potential. It is a game and a publisher that deserves no apologists saying that they don't get what all the fuss was about.

I can't say I've ever loved any infamously bad games, but I have to confess to preferring Fallout Tactics over the original Fallout 1 or 2. That should count for something.
Dragon Age 2: Greatness revealed.. IT was the BEST game in the series.. that's fact not opinion.. EA may be be the worst publisher around, but DA 2 was a great game.. the only Dragon Age game worth playing through more then once.. can't speak for DA Inquisition, but since it's not like DA 2, it's probably not as good
Sorry man, I respect your opinion, but I can't agree: it was the worst games in the series. Awful characters ( with exception of Varric), dull, repetitive environments, a combat system that, whilst at first seemed decent, eventually grated worse than origins - the game was a mess. And the saddest thing is, it had potential: the Mage-Templar conflict was intriguing to watch, but got dragged on too long, and had a very 'WTF?! twist in relation to a certain Mage destroying a certain place.

Please don't try to spoil anything. I just started playing Origins and Spoilers would be bad for me.

OT: Naruto Shippuden UNSR. I honestly don't understand why people hate this game. Maybe it's because their is no story progression or the fact that the "story mode" is filler but, I love this game. The massive character selection, the new gameplay elements and even a story mode about Mecha Naruto are what makes this game great. Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is my favorite and this is a close second.

Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2. I will admit a lot of anime games are mediocre. A few exceptions I can think of are Bleach Soul Ressurrecion, DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi series, Naruto UNS series, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2. Raging Blast was a major disappointment and Ultimate Tenkaichi had so much potential that was wasted but, Raging Blast 2 was a blast. The massive character selection and the fan service was a plus to me. The Galaxy mode was a horrible addition to the game though. The best part however is the two new characters, Hatchiyack and Tarble. Hatchiyack is a goddarn tank that can deal damage and take it while Tarble is a fragile weakling with very little use ,however, The characters are a blast to use.

Dragon Age 2 made me want to self harm.

As for bad games I like, well firstly a game I would consider "bad" myself. Even though it has some seriously awful presentation, dialogue, controls, & combat, Two Worlds 2 has something about it which makes it a quite enjoyable. Nothing spectacular, but a 7/10 with a certain different quality about it. Enjoyed it way more than Dragon Age 2 that's for sure.

Secondly a game others consider "bad", but which I think is a great, great experience is Risen 2. The combat verges on poor (firarms save it just), and the repetative faces kill the experience a bit. But the devs undoubted love for RPGs, superb atmosphere, and geniune lol dialogue at times makes for a brilliant RPG experience if you can get by the flaws. 8.5/10 for me.

Also, ME3. Discounting the ending, I loved that game. So much rich interaction with your comrades, the atmosphere, the story and its stakes...Drama, humour, tension, Mordin, all that good stuff. People said the ending ruined it for them, and it's true I did not replay ME3 as much as I replayed ME-ME2. However, once I had all the DLCs, I found that my overall feeling about the games are still positive.
Agreed.

I recently played through the trilogy and I went into ME3 expecting it to be terrible, or to get terrible at some point near the end. Instead, I found myself enjoying the game quite a bit, despite it's flaws(including the ending, which I felt was okay and far from the worst ending I've ever seen in a game by a long shot).

Predator, Robocop and Total Recall for the NES: Not really that bad: Kind of fun action games, and had some cool parts like the weird big mode stages. Fuck Rambo for the NES, though: That is one of the worst games ever.

Back to the Future: Kind of a fun Paperboy clone--the minigames are tedious, but the meat of the game is ennjoyable.

Clu Clu Land: It seems the few guys who remember this one all hate it, but it is one of my favorites. I played all 32 levels and never got bored.

Street Fighter: Yes, the first game: It is quirky and flawed, I admit that, but it is kind of fun and charming, and the inspiration for a great, albeit overstretched series.

Pit Fighter: Fun fighting game, silly but entertaining.

Primal Rage: This is one of my favorite fighting games: It is as over-the-top as Mortal Kombat but has better fighting and controls and dinosaurs. I want a new version in the style of the Mortal Kombat remake.

Mean Streets: Seems to have become the black sheep of the series due to its flaws and the lack of any kind of notes. I still love it despite the problems, just like every Tex Murphy game.

Doki Doki Amusement Park: I am basing this on the hatred for the Americanized version, Trolls in Crazyland--I have not played that port, but the original is an awesome game with a lot of action and creativity.

Modernized Bionic Commando: I will admit that the combat system is slow and awkward, but you still get to swing on a grappling hook and use it to destroy robots, which is good enough for me.

Necrovision: Almost every critic hated this game, but it really was a fast-paced and fun tribute to Doom-style games and a nice change from Call of Duty clones.

Goldeneye: Popular at the time, but everyone seems to be souring on this game these days. I still love it, it an awesome game with lots of action and cool bond gadgets. Even the remake was really fun, and there was a great scene in the new version where Bond got hit by helicopter, fell off a cliff and lived, which was great.

Sierra, Steve Meretsky and Legend games: Another case in which popular opinion has turned against games, as everyone complains about the deaths and dead ends. I admit that all the situations where you can make the games impossible to finish are annoying, but finding hilarious deaths is half the fun of adventures. These games are still classics and they should be respected.

Resistance: Burning Skies
Black Ops: Declassified

I enjoyed playing them and i still do, yes there is room for improvement on both games, but the fact they churned both games out in such a small time kind of explains why.
