Oh it definetly will, the millions of Halo Drones will flock back to Halo, i'm sure about that.
I like neither, but i'd rather play Halo. At least it has aliens, sticky grenades, and beam swords. And as of Reach, jetpacks. Does MW2 have jetpacks, huh? HUH?!

As for MW2 being unbeatable - in what? Give me same budget, and i can make a game surpassing MW2 in graphics, or originality, or even presentation and spectacle, or in being a good platformer. MW2 is certainly not a good platformer. If he means sales - then we'll just wait untill next big-budget title with an overblown marketing department rolls around.

Cocky bastards. Apparently, they do not realise that sales do not equal quality. But, oh well. There are still better games out there, even if the don't have as popular multiplayer, or even any multiplayer.

Yeah right! Eventually something more fun or better than MW2 is gonna come along and knock it right off of its throne. It's just how things go.
Nothing needs to come, because the game you're referring to is every single game ever made.
Including Atari 2600's E.T. and Superman 64?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

What a shock as to the amount of people saying Bad Company 2 is better. Personally, I prefer Resistance 2's 60 person multiplayer to all others.

Personally I prefer Battlefield 2/2142 because I like those two games. Can't run BfBC2 or CoDMW2. I do prefer CoD1 because no 13 year old would touch it (XBL kids I mean)

PC Gamers are generally more mature. Because they don't use the mic. Or they are just smarter.

There is no FPS that can beat MW2 for a looong time.

You know why? Because anything marketed as the killer of another game always fails.
Halo was around first though, both of the series kind of share the limelight when it comes to console FPS's as well. Reach is coming up this year and is probably the only real chance.

Not that it will affect me, I haven't played MW2 and don't particularly want Reach... bring on Fallout: New Vegas, Dead Space 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction I say.

Infinity Ward? That company that just had their presidents sacked in an unexpected EA coup?

I didn't know a headless torso could brag.

MW2 is craptacular, as all CoD games have been since CoD2.

However, as idiots outnumber those who know what makes a good game, of course MW2 sold well. It caters to the 13 year-old kids who think snipers are lone wolves and that they're pro because they get pocket money off their lazy parents for playing games.

Frankly, I think everyone is wrong and the best multi-player experience EVAR (Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2042) already came out!

In all seriousness, it doesn't really matter to me too much if COD is the best or if Battlefield is the best. I'm too busy concentrating on other games to have time for Multiplayer.

I don't know how their games sell since they don't even try to make a good game...

In all honesty I hope it stays the "best FPS around" so it will divert all the 12 year olds away from games like Bad Company that require some amount of thinking other then hacking>Sniper rifle>knifing>shotguns>rocket launchers> guns mentality that people who play MW2 have developed.

Id rather those type of people stay out of my games.

Why is everyone so far up BC2's ass? I mean yea, it's a relatively fun game, but I don't see why every PC elitist thinks it's the second coming of Christ. Vehicles completely ruin FPS games for me.

As a Halo drone, I resemble that remark. Now excuse me, I have some flocking to do.

But seriously, my favorite MP shooter is probably L4D2 or TF2. They both seem like more fun than MW2.

I don't even own it, therefore I beat it, Brothers in Arms was the best one I had played IMO...if your comparing to military FPS games anyway.

Yes, it probably will. But there's a difference between "popular" and "good".
Exactly. Based on the numbers, Titanic and Avatar are the two most popular movies of all time. And Britney Spears was probably the most popular Artist of the 2000s. Now as for good...

Thanks a lot for your well-rounded argument. As a fan of MW2 and someone who doesn't like being called an "idiot", I would love to refute your argument.
First of all, I believe that both Battlefield 2 and Bad Company 2 are superior in terms of multiplayer simply because I like team-based games more.
With that said, what makes a good game? Well, I'm going to assume that good gameplay does. And here's our first problem - Modern Warfare 2 delivers both in singleplayer and in multiplayer, and also in coop, Bad Company 2 is only good online.
And that would be fine, if they didn't set up a group of very likeable characters and a decent story in the first one.
Let me put it this way - Modern Warfare 2 in singleplayer is a thrill, a blockbuster, a triumph of storytelling (not story in itself, but rather the set-pieces).
Bad Company 2 in single is a frustrating, incoherent mess.
