MW2 Single Player - Decent.

MW2 Multiplayer - Fun enough, fast paced, good if I have 10 minutes to kill.

But honestly the multiplayer just doesn't grab me, it has that Counter-Strike feel where you don't really feel as if your actions have any real affect to the game other than raising your score or your teams score, nothing really feels as accomplished or goal oriented as say, TF2.

So I disagree with IW here, but their numbers don't lie I guess.

Just because your the most popular doesn't mean your the best.

Example: Jonas Brothers.

I like the MW2 multiplayer a lot and I get constantly better. But BF2 has it beaten single player wise. I will try the online BF and who knows, maybe it will be better. But even if it is not, like Qui Gon Jinn said (first time I ever quote THAT guy), there is ALWAYS a bigger fish.

Well, there is some truth to it. You see, I know a lot of people who don't want to play BC2 for the fact that it feels like a rip off of MW2. They even put in the looking down the sights, though you don't even need to since shooting from the hip does pretty much the same. A lot of people I know find MW2 better because of the Killstreaks and the lack of vehicles. I find that, both games are equally fun and great, it just depends on my mood. Though most of the times, I feel MW2 wins due to the lack of RESPAWN WAITING! I bloody hate that shit! Half the time my team loses because we have to wait 5 seconds to respawn because we were just spawn killed for the 690th time by a damn apache helicopter! It does get old after the 691th time! Though, really, I don't see MW2's crone falling anytime soon. Even with BC2, MW2 came out first, and it allows you to basically restart your level with Prestige Mode, I have yet to see BC2 have something like that, but I'm not that high in BC2 so I can't say for sure. If people read the article closely, you would notice that Halo Reach isn't under the category of WAR TIME GAMES! Its a Science Fiction Shooter. Different Sub Genre, thus they aren't talking about that game, though yes, when it comes out people will flock to it, and they will either hate it like they did the last Halo, or it will be one of the best games ever(Not holding my breath since I find all Halo games retarded).

To sum up what I believe, MW2 will keep its crown ONLY because it came out first and offers an option to restart leveling once again. BC2 will struggle and keep MW2 trying to make things better, thus, we should see MW2 releasing more stuff for Multiplayer in the near future. In my opinion, both games are great, it just depends on the mood, and the play style of the player. *loves blowing up buildings*

In all honesty I hope it stays the "best FPS around" so it will divert all the 12 year olds away from games like Bad Company that require some amount of thinking other then hacking>Sniper rifle>knifing>shotguns>rocket launchers> guns mentality that people who play MW2 have developed.
So what makes Bad Company 2 more complicated?

To me the two games seem almost interchangeable except that Bad Company lets you drive vehicles and lets more things explode.

Also "hacking>Sniper rifle>knifing>shotguns>rocket launchers> guns"? Really?
Isn't Bad Company 2 also a shooter? Surely it also has guns.

Hahaha, oh how they could get that so wrong; they are really far up their ass to have seen it that way.

Same here, I find BC2 alot less childish without the constant killstreaks MW2 has.
But thats just my opinion

Who cares. Why doncha guys stop handing your $$s to all of these copy-paste "modern shooters" and stop feeding their obnoxiously huge egos--as well as your own!

It's only the 'best' because they've got about 8 million ASBO/Mentally Imparied/Verbal Diarrhea teens padding the online, if they cut that down to people who have played and completed the story on veteran you'd be well below a million. And a game with that kind of budget a few hundred thousand actual fans isn't something to be proud of, especially if it's just a shallow shooter.

If the game was some obscure, low budget but absolutely brilliant puzzle game, like Braid I could understand having a small but true fan base since some people lack the vision to see the sheer beauty of the game or simply don't find it to their liking. But alas MW2 isn't.

I agree, it's not about jumping around like jackasses and more about actual team work. Where your kills have much more of an impact or your reviving has more of an impact.

It's statements like this that make me hope the Halo: Reach steamrolls right over it. At least Bungie has some degree of modesty when talking about their games. In any case I put away my for good when Bad Company 2 came out So I won't be buying the "stimulus package" any time soon, or ever.

This is why I hate Infinity Ward, they are a bunch of cocky bastards.
OT: BFBC2's multiplayer is far superior to MW2's, but, I doubt it'll beat MW2 in popularity, sadly

I think MW2 was pre-emptively beaten by CoD4: Double the hard drive space but a campaign that's only half as long, makes less sense and, at one point, arbitrarily kills me despite already having died at least a dozen times on my way there. A crucial gameplay element i.e. the lean controls, removed - and dedicated servers scrapped in favour of the shitty console lobby system - for no better reason than to say "look look, Treyarch arn't the only ones who can pull dick moves, you see"! Blood splashing all over my monitor at the slightest provocation in a manner that only makes me miss those good old-fashioned health bars even more.

I with I'd bought the PS3 instead of the PC version, at least then I could've traded it in.

Well, Bad Company 2 seems better to me now as a multiplayer game, but only from what i see in trailers and such, since i haven't tried it yet.

I've been playing MW2 multiplayer on a regular basis since November, and i guess it's pretty good, since it's just now that it gets annoying. And the single player is awesome, fking awesome.
