Check out A+ art movie Brian "Lustmord" soundtracked and did foley for:cuddly_tomato said:Yay. I love it as ambience.
I think Vidna Obmania or Lustmord is my style when it comes to lyricless music, although my tastes are varied.
Whats Doom Jazz? It sounds fun and completly hard to picture in my head.Hurr Durr Derp said:I listen to a lot of instrumental music. It's just more relaxing to me, and lyrics tend to distract me when I'm working (why yes, I am easily distracted).
I listen to all kinds of instrumental stuff. Post-Rock, Classic, Instrumental Metal, Chillout/Ambient, Jazz/Nu-Jazz/Doom Jazz, etc.
*gasp* Someone knows of the best guitarist ever!reg42 said:It's depends. Some instrumental stuff just repeats and recycles, but when it's good, it's really good. Take John 5's solo stuff for example.
Ah, Warmen, you gotta love them. They make such a beautiful combination of metal and classical music. And I especially love the Salieri songs. Thank God for Janne Wirman. He's part of two insanely awesome bands.SantoUno said:Metal is all about the instruments and the skill and art invoked when playing them.
That is why I fucking love instrumentals, even if most of them album is instrumentals.
Just take Warmen's albums for example, good classic masterpieces, hardly any vocals, but who cares?
I would rather point out that most vocal music tends to repeat itself to the point where it's just absolutely redundant. That aside though, I'm not sure why there is a differentiation between instrumental and vocal music.reg42 said:It's depends. I have listened to some post-rock, and it's alright. Some of it's pretty good, but I still much prefer songs with vocals.Der Kommissar said:I would rather point out that most vocal music tends to repeat itself to the point where it's just absolutely redundant. Listen to something like uh, the Evpatoria Report or any post-rock ('tis but a scratch to the surface but you might undestand what I mean) and you will never ever be looking back to vocals.
