Which on is better; PC, 360, PS3, or Wii does NOT matter. Lets stay focused PEOPLE on what REALLY MATTERS! What MATTERS are whether or not the GAMES that come out are glimmering examples of entertainment, or steaming piles of crap.

What a shocker. A site called Intel Software is promoting PC gaming and saying how it is kicking ass. Oh wait I got a call on the other line... Hello an MS rep??? What is that?? The 360 is the greatest?? Please hold I got another call... Hello Nintendo yeah you guys are the best huh? Gee I wonder which company is telling the truth. And which one is blowing thier own horns in an attempt to sell more units.

If your response is none and all you are correct.

Well, it's not as if the PC is the only platform that has to worry about piracy.
If it has a game on any type of medium, it will and has been pirated.

It's not as if some pirates don't buy games, they buy games that they thought were actually WORTH THE MONEY!

I'd get my hands on a "full demo" just to see if it's any good. If it is, I'd buy the game just to complete my collection of games that aren't for bloody wankers....
Okay, there is the wanker collection as well, mostly Japanese games.

Still gaming companies release what they label as a "demo" but it's an alpha version of the game with 1 level. Should I base my opinion on alpha staged games or wait for it to be touched up and perfected?

I get the full game from a friend and test it out. If it's good, I delete all of it via the guttman method. Then, I waltz into the store...Alright, it's more of a foxtrot. I walk right up to the counter and buy the game I was just playing.

Not all those who pirate will keep the game. Even if the game sucks, it's off my bloody PC, and overwritten with 0's 35 bloody times. So, it's not on my PC.

About FPSs, yeah nearly everything these days is somewhat an FPS at heart.

Exactly this. In the case of music piracy, there has been a study showing that pirates actually spend MORE on music than anyone else, possibly because they have access to a greater variety of content and have already demoed anything they might want to buy. I don't see why the same logic couldn't apply to gaming as well. Especially with PC gaming as it's not possible really to return games if you don't like them and demos are becoming less frequent; why wouldn't you think about pirating a game to see if it's for you then buy it if it is?

Edit: Forgot link to study http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/illegal-downloaders-spend-the-most-on-music-says-poll-1812776.html

PS Windows XP 32-bit is still king of the pile on Steam, if you exclude the Mac OSes. Steam hardware survey. [http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey?platform=pc] (PS 56% of all computers monitored are DirectX 10 ready)
