You've seriously not heard this stuff a hundred times?
From WHERE?
And it's not the conclusions but the path that leads him there that interests me.
"Some men hate women", sure, but WHY? The fairytale imagery we saw as children led many men to believe early on that women = princesses and that they were perfect beings and we're unworthy of their affection. Me and pretty much every male friend I had were all guilty of this, putting women on pedestals and not understanding why they turned out to be just as flawed as we are.
"Racism is silly". I think he's shooting more for why racism has no foundation because there will always be a person of every race who agrees with you on all issues. Also, because many people DO see something done by a member of a certain race and assume that every member of that race feels that way. How many people still think that the terrorists of 9/11 are an example of every Islamic person and their feelings about the US? You'd be surprised....
"We're obsessed with sex and use it to validate ourselves". THIS is something we've heard a hundred times? Really? Because I don't think this gets said enough. I've met too many people who just didn't care about stepping on others in the quest for sexual validation. Apparently, they didn't get the memo, either.
Maybe YOU have this stuff all figured out, but I apparently don't. I was perfectly willing to put up with Maddox and his condescending tone because I found him hilarious (and a bit of a spectacle). I've no problem putting up with this guy's eccentricities if he has something good to say.
