So I've been trying to get into music from other parts of the world, which is kind of hard because there's so much of it out there and most of it gets very little press here in the United States. Most non-US bands I listen to are from England (Arctic Monkeys) or Scotland (Frightened Rabbit). But I'd like to branch out more than that. Then I realized we have a nice international community here. So here's the idea, it's pretty simple: just post your favorite song that comes from a band from your country. And I'm not put off by songs if the lyrics aren't in English, so feel free to include those as well.

Mine: "Jesus, Etc" by Wilco (originated from Chicago)

Edit: Make sure to include where you're from

This song from I Not Stupid Too (which I keep telling people to watch, over and over again).

The subtitles are a bit lagged, so write them down or something.

EDIT: Found the full version of the song

Wow, of all time. Jesus, there's too many to count...

My pick for today I guess would be Tom Wait's Going Out West

However, if I really sat down to think about it, I'd probly say something by Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, The Flaming Lips, or The Pixies. (I'm American if you can't tell yet)

Destroy the Orcs by 3 Inches of Blood. Most groups I listen to hail from Europe, it's rare that I find homegrown metal I adore.

From here, I think the last song I liked that came from the UK was Newton Faulkners Badman.

Australia: Kate Miller-Heidke

I just like Kate in general, her music is quite weird and kooky but I like all types of music.

Oh I finally found a non-acoustic version of Gods gift to women but it has twilight in the background, well at least its making fun of it...
