i'm from greece.
Though it's still not my style of music, Greek pop (at least this guy) seems much better than US pop.

from my country?
maybe Mr. Mustache...
....I love you

OT, I don't know about best, but this is the one I'm currently listening to:

I've been on a steady diet of Pixies lately. I had "Debaser" blaring in my room and my roommate heard it and this happened:
Roommate comes strolling in and looks perplexed: "what the hell is going on there?"
Me, throwing dirty clothes around like a mad man looks up and gives him the crazy face "I am un CHIEN!! An-daa-loooseeyaaa!"
Roomate: "So...thats a song?"
Me: "It's a lifestyle, don't fight it bro"
Roommate backs away slowly

Hm... Something from Nirvana probably. Truth is, I tend to like British-born rock music over American. I love the American grunge scene, but that's probably the extent of my like for American rock.

Atmosphere FTW, nobody has a hip hop scene like the states. Mos Def can do good stuff, but he will never be Slug.

My personal favorite right now is Bukowski or King Rat by Modest Mouse, but the US has thousands of bands, so it's not like it is slim pickings.
