Its a very intresting discusion, now before I say what I am planing to I will say I am a socal person and revel in opertunitys like this where I can make an inteligent comment that isent imitiatly defraged by everyone else and you must have some idea of how hard it is to find a good listner or somone to have a proper talk with.

I find it very hard for ppl to take me seriosly or not spent the time I talk in thinking about what there going to say next wich is why I like posting here, because its acualy being taken on board. my online identity is similar to my offline identity exept I find it easyer to talk about embarising or personal things online.

I like the fact that I have no idea who I'm writing for and no idea whos reading it and no idea who the person that replyed is, mainly because I have no idea...(ect. ect.) which means I can take in everything thats said without predjedous and vice-versa, I find it hard to get my point across in real life because of things like my voice and manor, my accent, my age (ppl always assume I'm older than I realy am in real life and not) and my aperance (just imagine a metalhead-hippie-biker hybrid and you can gues what I look like) but I dont have that problem here because no one knows for sure.

I like my internet anonymity. While my personality on and off line are the same, I don't give out information if I can help it. Frankly, it's much easier to take someone seriously when you've no idea who they are. Once you start learning about them, you build an image in your head that's hard to shake.

I LOL'd.

Personally I'm just me. I may have my pseudonyms, but that's just to stop the Government agents finding me.

I see you editing my posts. Also just to help, in real life, you are a psychotic misanthrope.

I don't reveal who I am past a certain point, no matter where I am, unless I trust a person enough; for me that can't happen over the internet.

Internet or no, I keep a lot to myself; It's what I was taught to do, abet unintentionally.

I will tell you my name (Ronald) my age (19) my blood type (o-) my nationality (United States) and that I have aspergers. These things are of little consequence to me, and if they matter to you, I think you should re-evaluate your thought process.

Apologies Abound.

I'm 21, I'm a troll, I live under a bridge and I've recently stopped extorting money from passing goats and started eating them instead.

And on the internet, I'm a tea-swilling British Grammar Nazi.

Realize, aluminum, and color.

Okay, that was just mean.

I am very similar online and offline. I'm silly, borderline jerk and comic, long-winded in my opinions, and upbeat about sharing my personality.

Online, though, I'm also more long-winded in all things. I use better words, I sound less dysfunctional because I have the ability to go back and retract or add statements. My grammar is better online because I do have that editing ability, and I'm a generally more collected and more intelligent-sounding person online.

Well, and in writing.

Similar offline and on: blunt, outspoken, usually walks in on conversations at the worst possible moment.

I think I represent myself accurately on the internet wherever I am. Granted I might not share all my pornographic preferences with the world, I still give people a pretty genuine representation of who I am in real life on the internet. This is probably because I'm pretty satisfied with who I am as a person and individual, and I don't feel I need to change who I am to satisfy the wants of others. I'm unapoligetically me, and I'm not afraid to share that on the internet. I don't have (very many) secrets to hide from the world. I'm not a sicko or anything. And I don't go around making claims of myself that I can't (or am unwilling to) back up with proof.

Pretty much I am an arrogant prick who think's he doesn't need to lie about who he is.

Sure, on the internet my words may be a little more well placed than if you speak with me in real life (mostly because I speak in a slang-laden, curse-filled, slightly southern drawl), but I still speak intelligently and with the same opinions in real life that I have on the internet. If a person says something racist in real life or on the internet, my response will be the same. If a person says something that I disagree with (not on a serious level but with opinions), I'll say the same thing. However in that case I usually come off alot less insulting in real life because I am able to properly use sarcasm and tone of voice to show I'm not trying to be insulting.

If someone doesn't want to accept my opinion or point of view because of my age or who I am, then that's there loss and they are ignorant for thinking that way. And I get the satisfaction of knowing that truth deep down inside, which is all I really need to move on.

...yep.

I'm pretty much the same offline and online. I probably seem smarter online only because research tools are seconds away at my finger tips while in real life I'm only vaguely referential and bad with dates. However, I am sure that my poor grammar and spelling is enough of a negative to make all things equal.

Online I am friendly, argumentive, with a penchant for unnecessary banter and bandying of words, and am very much awesome.

Offline I am introverted, hostile and cruelly sarcastic.
Yea. And I use the word "yea" alot.

Oh, and in both areas I USE CAPS. So, yea.

I'm basically the same on the net as in reality. Yes, I'm this crazay!

As for shareing details, I wouldn't mind giving off my first name in a PM and few details of my life to some Escapist members. I don't think you've plotted to get over 1000 posts to gain my trust then hunt me down and stab me in the back. Right? Guys?
