I'm Magicmad5511. I'm 18 years old and male and I am English.
I discovered the Escapist a while when someone showed me Zero Punctuation. I later began watching them and after a long while I eventually decided to make an account so I could talk on the forums.

At the moment I'm in college doing a game design course and I am unemployed tough I do eventually wish to become a novelist.
I am a person of logic and will always attempt to back up my arguments with reasoning, more often than not it being why I hate or love a certain thing.

I am quite cynical about most things but still hope that I may be wrong. I'm also slightly paranoid to the degree that I will never say a friends name in a post because of the random chance that they might go looking on my account. It's not likely though because only a few even know I'm on here.

I'm a fan of things like Doctor Who, Red Dwarf, Big Bang Theory, Scrubs and a ton of other stuff. I don't own a single game of Call of Duty because I don't care for it and my money can work better with other games. CoD is simple repeating the same game format again and again with barely any innovation because they know people will buy it and not because they think it will be a game to change the games industry.

I prefer the zany, strange and bizarre. Random=hilarious for me most of the time.

Overall I'm just a guy on the internet who likes to have his opinion heard.

My name is Joe and depending on which site you find me on, it's either going to be Shoggoth or EnmaDaio with some variant of my birth-date (2588/ 8852). I joined the Escapist community in mid/late 2009 (I think in August), coming for ZP but staying because of Moviebob (Why are his videos bleeped?! He USED to be able to say fuck and shit!! Watch his early videos as those offer evidence!!)

I've been in a relationship with my lovie for four years, three-and-a-half of which having been long distance*. I'm currently working as a night-shift stocker for Target which is pretty fun, easy and, great for my sleep schedule (or lack thereof [fun fact, I just got home from work...an hour and a half ago!]). I can't say I have a dream job since I really don't want to work but since I have to make money to live, I would really like to do something like stand-up comedy or, acting on TV or in movies. I would also love to get paid for writing short stories, not-so-short stories or maybe even reviews (I have 2 deviant art accounts with a few short stories and reviews, all of which have more views than I would have expected).

As for hobbies, I love to draw, play video games (obvious), sing karaoke (When I can sing this, I will declare myself God) and, write short stories (comedy, horror, erotic and, a mixture of those). My GF and I are also foodies to an extent. She and I have shared baby-octopus sushi and I had my first bit of sauerkraut because of her. Also like to Cosplay when I can but I've been unable to recently...

I started with Anime and Manga but have moved on to Marvel and DC. I love me some coffee but self-medicate with Tea. I play games written by Drew Karpyshyn but love books by Terry Pratchet (especially the ones centered around Death and the Unseen University!) I think that's about all anyone needs and if I don't stop I could really go on a lot longer (some of you may know I have a tendency to post more text per-response than is really necessary) I always accept friend requests too because I crave approval and love!

My interests are gaming and thats about it really since I live in the most obscure village known to man, even Eskimo villages are more known than this place.... and noone else at all here is my age so I dont have any 'local' friends.

I use the escapist to escape (No pun intended) from my troubles as I find the community calm and friendly as well as interesting. I play multiplayer games like League of Legends, MW3(Not too often), Terraria and Killing floor so if anyone wants to join me they are more than welcome to.

Also I study business at college so yeah, thats pretty much my story

My middle name is Hoagy, and the 51 has no relevance except my ex stepbrother thought i would be cool when I was like 9 and I have put it on everything ever since.

I am newly 23, and have been on the escapist since 2008 but never became a member or got an account until 2010. First website I ever signed up to actually. And then my account just sat here gathering dust because I use several different sources to surf and never signed in on any of them, even to this day it is only my home desktop which I rarely use. So i read a lot of forums but dont post a lot.

This thread actually made me stop playing battlefield and want to contribute. so good work!

I am an Australian Male Nurse, I work in Emergency Pediatric Operating Theatres, so I am on call a lot, but get paid accordingly.

I play a bit of everything but I am a bit over games atm. I read a LOT of comics. All thanks to MovieBob, he started me off with Civil War and now I spend over $60 a week. Its brutal.

I am the first person in my family in like 4 generations not to do music for a career, My grandad was on the Management team for the BeeGees, and I am very musical but only do it for fun, much to my band-mates annoyance.

Dia dhiabh. I'm an 18 year old, irish, male. I'm currently studying engineering in TCD. Being in college is a lot of fun.

As you can see from my avatar, I'm a massive fan of the who, and John Entwistle in particular, to the point that I'm playing bass in my band, and play it as a lead instrument a lot of the time. My other favorite bands are the beatles, Green day, the kinks, and AC/DC.

I'm also a massive nerd. I spend a lot of my time at home, watching anime. My favorite anime is a tie between cowboy bebop, and Beck: mongolian chop squad. I also watch a lot of movies, and am currently trying to watch everything on the IMDB top 250. Last time I checked, I had 28 to go.

I also play video games. I spend more time playing ps2 than every other console combined. I'm also currently working on a walkthrough of my favorite game of all time: Ratchet & Clank.

I'm a male, dutch, 19 year old student from the northern part of the netherlands, I currently study gamedesign and wish to specialise in artwork and 3D modelling and animation.

I grew up with two sisters, an elder and a younger one, and thus have developed a strong sense of morality when it comes to dating and relationships.
despite that, I am not very succesful in the dating department.
on a regular basis, I try to be supportive to the people around me, help those in need and don't quit on whatever I believe must be done.
I'm also a terrible liar, so I don't bother. (but saying it out loud costs me some credibility, no?)

partially related, but not fully, I've been born with my right eye blind, so I can not percieve depth and makes my eye look retarded, so I wear an eye-patch to cover it up.

I enjoy co-op and team based games for the comradery they provide, and can otherwise settle for a good singleplayer RPG.
I also have a soft spot for RTS's, but I'm never good at those.
my favorite themes would be classic fantasy, or (post) apocalyptic.

I've been in a relationship for almost 4 years now, which is great except for the four hour, £40 train journey between our two universities that is probably causing us to drift apart.

Hey there. My name's Costin but I go by Rev. I'm 20 years old and hailing from Romania, currently a college student: 2nd year in Law school.

My interests are... varied to say the least. I listen to a stupid amount of music, I would classify that as my main hobby because I sometimes literally just put music on and stare at the sky. Other things I do frequently include reading, watching anime and playing whatever my mind decides to fixate itself upon. OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT: I have a insane obsession for comic book art, digital art, actually art in general. My pc is full of all kinds of images from sights that spark a beautiful and twisted serenity to random chibis and drawings. Oh and sometimes I write my thoughts down and they seem pretty.

Other things... well... erm... hmm... I think seeing a magenta mist in the sky is an amazing experience. I stare at the sky at times and wish the sky would break apart in a splash of colors and after waiting a bit and seeing nothing happen I suddenly get sad. I'm not a fan of large crowds but I like going to a lot of concerts with close friends (can count them on my fingers - from one hand). My room is full of Pendulum posters and, despite being a person inclined to rock and metal, they remain my favorite band.
I always say what I think and feel and that gets me into a lot of strange situations because I don't dance around a girl if I like her and just straight up say it. Also it got me into weird settings at college where I have called one my lectors an idiot (more than once) for not respecting my opinions on matters in debates after said debates end.

That's about it I guess, sorry for the wall of text, I just wrote everything that came to my mind. If anyone wants to talk, feel free to hit me up, I'm a chatty person usually.
