I'm betting this part is true. I know I love candle lit dinners and long walks on the beach, and I have a troubled past and have always been looking for someone to vainly attempt to change me.

It's like a match made in the fictional universe of a romance comedy, I bet we learn something that seems profound soon.

I think I can hear the reality TV producers grabbing for their phones already.

We're gonna need a theme tune for our show.

Hello all! My name is my username. I am in my last year of high school, and will be moving to college this summer. I will be studying the extremely useful subject of psychology there (assuming I get accepted). I currently live in Indonesia and will be moving to the Netherlands. My avatar is a cartoon representation of me drawn by my girlfriend if anyone cared.

Some random facts: Some of my favorite games include Age of Mythology, Psychonauts and L.A. Noire. I work for my school magazine. I am a hobbyist photographer but my photos have been used in both the yearbook and the Jakarta Post. I joined The Escapist because someone I follow in Deviantart (yes, have a deviantart account) posted a link to Yahtzee's review of Bowser's Inside Story.

I am unhealthily addicted to video game culture. One my favorite non-escapist video game shows does live streams of several hours long of them playing the game and delivering commentary. I watch the recorded streams. All of them. Please save me.

I tend not to post much because most opinions that are posted are similar to mine, and it just seems redundant. I like threads like these because we get to represent ourselves, as opposed to the general gaming culture mindset.

My favorite video game franchise has got to Pokémon. I don't care what anyone says, 5th gen is not shit and 3rd gen was best. So there.

Also, feel free to PM me if you want to swap 3ds friend codes.

I prefer to see myself as a man that doesn´t need an introduction, but then again, I am a bit of an egotripper, so what the hoo-hah.

My name is Johannes. I live in Sweden, Scania, more specifically in the city Kristianstad. I am of young age, below 18. I enjoy videogames(no shit), reading, writing, theater and swimming.

I admire courage and non-conformity(although I am teenager, so that´s probably just my undeveloped brain talking) along with a hatred for ignorance and people who take life way too seriously. I am an A-top student(No really, I am.) Largely because of my ease of learning new things.

My favorite games: Heavy Rain, Infamous 2 and Skyrim.

My most loathed game: Turning Point: Fall of liberty (Seriously, NEVER PLAY THAT FUCKING GAME.)

Alright I'll tell you about me, my real name if Jeff age 17 turning 18 march 1st. I'm nowhere near close to recognizable here partly due to the fact I just came back from a months long Hiatus of having anything to do with these forums and also because I tend to only lurk in the RP and forum games boards (and yet I still have a thoroughly average writing ability although I've never let it stop me before).

I only came to this site to watch zero punctuation, I found my way onto the forums out of a spontaneous desire to find something else to do to fill some time in my life and so far it has served the purpose while providing some genuine entertainment

I live in Australia (you know, the island where everything wants you dead?) and have just completed my VCE, my days now consist of awaiting my first round offers so I can go into university to study software development and considering but never actually trying to find a job.

As for my interests...well there's not much to say really besides the obvious I like playing games (adventure and sandbox games mostly I love exploring and seeing the world open up in front of me), if I had to assign myself a hobby that is somewhat unique to me I guess it would be just watching movies and T.V (yeah I know not all that unique), action and comedies mostly basically anything that's entertaining or makes me laugh.

As for skills...well I don't think I have any that couldn't be better preformed by someone else I know, I seem to be competent at most things and master of none of them although I've been told I have a fine sense of humor and an ability to make snide comments at a moments notice so I guess there's that.

huh...I wrote more than I thought I would there.

Hi! Im gusenborge, Real name Rasmus and i come from Sweden. Currently in the "forever alone" sphere and struggling with old ex's, bad mistakes and plainy thinking to much. I would describe myself as sligtly schizofrenic in my behavior as i can go from being giggly and making either very dark(baby jokes) or very weird(taking a bunch of diffrent qoutes and smashing them togheter) although at home or with the family i end up not saying much and being calm.

Im currently studying to become a musican, mostly out of no interest for what offer courses were offered in my area. Plans after school are some additional classes in becoming a guard and military service if i get in.

Most off my interests are based on the internet, like the culture, meme's and what strange things i can find. Other interests are physical training although its on and off, also i watch Pro wrestling which is i can only do from the internet since no channels in my country shows it.

Thats me in my eyes, the real thing is probably diffrent.

Alright, I'll join in then. My name is Jordan, I'm male, Welsh (but I've been living in Canada for the last 2 years or so), and I'm 18. I spend my days stocking shelves in a store trying to save up some money to go to university, although to be perfectly honest I have no idea what I'll do if I actually get there.

As far as interests go, I love gaming, obviously, reading, writing (although it's been a long time since I've written anything, because I tend to be a perfectionist when I write. Other people seem to think I'm good, but I can't stand anything I've written), nothing particularly ground-breaking or unique. Favourite games are stuff like FF7, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, the Ace Attorney games, Elder Scrolls, Professor Layton, Silent Hill 2, old PS1 platformers like Spyro, Crash and Tombi (if you haven't played it, go find it and play it).

I'd probably describe myself as alternately pessimistic, dark-humoured, sarcastic, cynical and bitter, and cheerful, polite, helpful and quiet, depending on the situation, my mood, and possibly the phase of the moon. I'm probably not the most social guy on the planet (truth be told, even though I've been in this country for a while, I've never managed to make any truly close friends, with the exception of my current girlfriend), but if I feel comfortable around a person then I'm happy to let my personality wreak havoc on their sanity.

Eh, that's enough info I think. Any more and I'm worried that one of you will kill me and steal my identity . . . for some reason.

Wow, there's actually a surprising number of "Zach"'s here on the Escapist. I had no idea.

Well, to add to the pack, my real name is Zach Voiles, a 21 year old male from Kansas, USA. Currently, I am attending Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. There, I am studying the rather frustrating field of computer animation, although this may be changed rather soon, due to other reasons. I drive a 1997 Toyota Celica, navy blue, and have one pet, my Beagle, Skip, who is 14 years old.

I am an avid Mac user, but also a completely devoted Xbox 360 fanboy. I love that console to pieces. I am an ex-WoW player. Most of the games I play on Steam run on OSX, but I do use Boot Camp now and again to access my Windows-only games. Some of my favorite games include Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and The Binding of Isaac. I enjoy drawing whenever I can, and am not shy to talk to new people.

Here on the Escapist, I used to be known as "that Renamon guy," due to my choice of favorite Digimon as an avatar. Although I have shifted my image a little bit, I'm still the same person underneath. I've been on the Escapist for what seems like forever, and now that I look at my join date, that looks to be about three years. Holy balls. Where did the time go?

My current avatar is Stinkoman 20X6, the popularized Japanese version of Strong Bad, from the Homestar Runner series.

Send me a message sometime, I'm really a rather nice guy.

I'm a 21 year old transgendered ambiguous person whose name isn't terribly important,

I usually don't post outside of a handful of old threads so not a while lot of people are actually familiar with me. I study psychology work with kids and enjoy random conversation with anybody whose interested.

[sub][sub][sub]Incidentally that's the most I've ever publicly said about myself, odd mood today. >.>[/sub][/sub][/sub]

Well hi there!

I'm pretty damn terrible about these things but I will give it a try. My name is Jennifer and I'm a 25 year old that has no problems acting like a total dork. I live in Arizona but I'm originally from Wyoming (long story), not everyones favorite state at times in the US, but now I'm just glad it's not hot right now considering I hate the heat.

I've been playing games since I was 5, and other than that I do enjoy writing and reading more books than I actually have time to. I do love me some music, my parents joked that I was born with a pair of headphones. My profession deals with music, I'm an Audio Engineer, so I really can't complain that much.

Oh! I love comics too, can't believe I almost forgot about that.

Other than that you're gonna have to PM me, go ahead, I don't bite!

Also your ramblings remind me of myself. When I take too long to reply to someone face to face it's usually because what follows is so random that said person questions his sanity.

I'm always a big fan of these threads, it's great that The Escapist community is so open and friendly, that's why I love it here.

I'm Will.
I'm 21.
English but want to move to Canada more than anything in the world.
I graduated university this year with a degree in drama.
I'm now half way through a PGCE, training to be a high school English teacher and it's really really really fucking tough.
I just got a new girlfriend and couldn't be happier.

I only ever love or hate things, never anything in-between.
I talk A LOT and like to think I'm a really funny guy (which is always awkward and egotistical to say).

I love music. My favourite genres are punk, hardcore, metalcore and some metal.
My favourite bands right now are Gallows, Trash Talk, Mastodon, The Gaslight Anthem, Bon Iver, Rush, Parkway Drive, Every Time I Die, Letlive, Touché Amoré and Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster.
I play the drums and next I want to learn piano and then harp.

I'm a huge comic book nerd (almost exclusively DC), currently collecting 12 of DCs New 52 every month and often buying trades of various series' I've missed in the past. My current favourite series is Aquaman by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis.

My GOTY is Skyrim, followed closely by Arkham City, Portal 2 and Uncharted 3.
My favourite game is Final Fantasy IX.

That more-or-less covers me!

Name's Tony, 22, Finland.

I'm a Finn/Portuguese halfbreed who enjoys (mostly punk) music, manga/anime, video games and all sorts of nerdy things.

Above all I'm a huge fighting game aficionado. Capcom vs. SNK, Tekken, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, King of Fighters, you name it, I've probably played it. Currently my goal would be to become the best European ranked Juri player in SSFIV on PSN.

Any Europeans who can relate to the above ambition are free to add me here and on PSN respectively, by the way.

Hello my name is Jonathan and I'm relatively new to The Escapist. I double majored in Music and Psychology. My job allows me to game/play guitar/mess around online/read for 7 of the 8 hours of my shift, so I can't say that I complain!

As far as games go, I enjoy mostly music games and rpgs. I like almost all types of music, but my favorite genres are prog-rock/metal, and modern classical guitar music.

The Escapist is a great way to pass the time and I'm glad I've found it!

Also, I think it's absolutely hilarious that people use this platform to inform others of how handsome they are.

OT: Umm, hi! I go by the name sky14kemea, or just Sky. =P My real name is reserved for people who know me more personally. Even though they rarely use it, I like having Sky has a nickname. ^^

I'm 20 years old, though I don't act it very often. I'm actually pretty shy IRL, even though I can come across as quite outgoing in text. I like the colour blue, perhaps too much.

And I'm always watching you, forum goers.... Aaaaaalways. o___o

Hi there. I'm Shaylyn and I'm 29 years old, from Pennsylvania. I came down to Dallas, TX for grad school a few years ago and have been working here since. I'd like to move out of Texas eventually, though, as it's not really my thing.

I'm an artist, and I currently work as a 3d environment artist for a game developer down here. I'm usually too busy to have much of a life outside of work and art, but I do enjoy making female character mods for TF2, drawing, photography, and playing the piano. Before I was an artist, I was a Chinese linguist in the army, and I also briefly worked at Halliburton before quitting to pursue the game industry.

I also have a Havanese dog named Shakira (lol) and a long haired tuxedo cat named Winston. Oh, and I just had surgery on my nose yesterday, and am currently feeling like crap.

Sup Escapists! I'm gonna keep this short, I'm Jake, I'm 21 years old and I live in the US. I've only been taking part in the forums since last year but have been hanging around on the Escapist a bit longer than my profile would have you believe, just watching the videos. I'm currently in college, not sure what I'm doing career-wise but my interests are rooted between psychology and philosophy. I like having discussions and friendly arguments, I dislike arguing with the ignorant but will sometimes engage them anyway, if nothing more than to build debating skills. I guess that about wraps her all up, as they say.
