Ireland v France - what a disgrace to the sport

Well the FAI(Football Association of Ireland) are calling for a replay but its never going to happen, FIFA are happy as long as they have their bigger countrys in the World Cup, they don't give a toss about the smaller countrys.

This. It didn't help that Sepp Blatter (head of FIFA) basically set-up the playoffs in such a rushed way which would allow the bigger teams a much easier route to South Africa. I'm really annoyed, as Ireland proved that they could play against strong teams, they even nearly beat Italy in the group stages, and they're the world champions.

Yeah disgraceful foul by Henry, high pressure doesn't excuse a thing. Ireland were robbed, their prime minister has called for a replay. No REALLY this is now a diplomatic issue.

To be fair to the ref, barring that choice, he had a great game. He didnt call a penalty the whole stadium was baying for because he caught the dive. And it that situation, with all the players between him and the ball how on earth was he meant to see it? the problem is they don't have the extra officals behind the goal like they have implemented in UEFA games.

oh and don't give me that video replay thing, it would break the flow of play to much.

Sometimes I feel like referees are deliberately picked to make the most infuriating decisions. But I suppose they have a goddamn hard job, a most hated profession.
