It is basicly proof that God does in fact exists, and that he really likes Scottish people.

I like the IRN BRU chew bars. If you've never had one imagine a 2 litre bottle of IRN BRU condensed into a small chew bar. You get Diabetes just from looking at it, and it is delicious!
Hmm... the memory of eating one makes my teeth ache... They are delicious though.

I have found that the only way to describe the taste to Aliens, Americans, the English and other poor, deprived people is "a bit like bubble gum mixed with caffine".

You can also buy (or at least, used to be able to buy) Concentrated IRN BRU (the stuff used in those skooshy-gun drinks mixers in bars) and mix it at home with carbonated water. Totally pointless if you live in Scotland, but you can ship the concentrate overseas much cheaper than the equivalent amount of pre-mixed stuff.
we english have had IRN BRU for aslong as i can remember (and i remember about 25 years).

i like the odd can when im south of the border but when ive been to scotland its the only soft drink ill have (i dont know why)

The IRN BRU chew bar was the greatest invention ever created! And only 10p a bar, it was worth it! :p
Yeah but it had a PH of 2 and could dissolve solid steel - at least according to the tabloids who went into a media frenzy after an attractive girl's teeth were rotted by her diet of Irn Bru bars.

Haha, well, what do you expect to happen to your teeth if your diet consists of IRN BRU bars? The sugar content in those things was off the scale!

I wondered why they didn't sell them anymore... :(

It tastes like solid sugar -- in liquid form.
I know how that sounds, but it's true. :/
I have no idea what kind of IRN BRU you've been drinking.

It really can't be compared to anything. It's just completely unique.

Best soft drink around too.

It tastes like something worse than lucozade! (boo hiss Englishman!)

Ok, it tastes like... Irn bru, really. A hell of a lot of sugar, not really much else. Reminds me of the taste of oranges vaguely... its still delicious though, being my second choice of fizzy drink on the rare occasions I can't obtain original or orange lucozade. My one complaint is that it sometimes gives me mysterious stitches...

PS: Don't drink the diet stuff, drink the real thing. It tastes better and I don't trust aspartame!

PPS: I am actually Scottish, though I have an English father.

It is also one of the greatest hangover cures ever invented, second only to whiskey. Damn I need to get my arse back to Scotland.

Scotch is the greatest Alcohol. Irn Bru is the greatest soft drink.
I second this.
But then does that mean that Irn Bru + Scotch = the greatest alcopop ever?

I've tasted it and it's awesomely unique and tasty. Tastes kind of like metal and sugar and caffiene.

Ah... something neon orange and filled with the legal equivalent of speed. You know it must be good.

I'm not familiar with it, but I am fascinated.
