Is anyone else starting to get sick of zombies?

Well technically the things in L4D aren't zombies as they aren't dead atleasr to our knowledge so far. Also the new fast zombies like 28 Days Later aren't zombies they are infected. A zombie must of died a some point and then come back alive to be a zombie that is how zombies work by definition.

I am, but I am still waiting for the ultimate zombie horror survival apocalipse game, wich until now only Red Dead Redemption actually tried but still went for the action route (I dont blame them, if it was way to harcore, like STALKER, it wouldnt feel like RDR).

Zombies games and DLC's have always opted the path of "KILLING ZOMBIES IS F***** FUN!!! SURVIVE THESE HORDES OF ZOMBIES WITH A SHITLOAD OF WEAPONS" and I really dont want that. I want a game that you have to search for ammo, food and shelter, killing zombies isnt the main purpose of the game, the purpose is survive.

It;s been getting overdone for at least a few years now ever since there's been a revival, I absolutely LOVE Zombie related stuff but even I groan whenever there's a new Zombie related thing now. It's kind of sad that it's like that but I enjoy the ones that put a new spin on it, rather than samey old cliche'd crap that most seem to churn out in an attempt to get some sales off the pop culture potential and the hipsters.

Yeah. I was never a big fan, except the movies are ok. Shaun of the Dead is one of my favourite movies, although that's more for the comedy than the zombies.

I don't see why every game needs zombie mode. I have only played the Black Ops one once and I didn't care for it. It's mindless fun. Same goes for Left 4 Dead. Run around, shoot anything that moves, don't stop, don't think. Pure, brainless fun. I feel like a zombie by playing these games.

I like zombies and I think there's still potential for a lot of games, but I don't think they should be bunched-out all now, because zombies are things I enjoy, and I don't want it to be burned-out in the near future.
personally, I think developers should take a break from zombies and focus on other things, and maybe return to zombies later.
why not make Alien DLC's for previous games instead of pumping-out things like 'Red Dead Redemption: UNdead Nightmare'
frankly, it's getting a bit on my nerves...

I'm so sick of zombies that by the time I got around to playing L4D, I found it too boring to even consider playing through all four campaigns.

I'm not a big fan of the newer age zombie that runs around, but the old classical shambling dead zombie. Course, I'm a zombie fanatic, it's hard to explain my liking to games with zombies in them.

BTW any undead being that is manifested in a physical form, has no consciousness, and isn't bare bones = zombie in my book, afterwards you can break them down into sub-categories.

just because our media has been flooded with zombies recently doesn't mean zombies are bad material, on the contrary, zombies have been good material since before most of you kids started gaming. But why all the zombies? basically because you same kids got tired of gibs. There was a time not so long ago when zombies were second best and gibs were all the rage, take carmageddon for example.

Moral of the rant: Don't be so damn fickle and learn to appreciate what you have when its available.
