Damn, you had to go and get me super hyped for this game. I was already sad it was a PS4 exclusive for the next Souls-esque game (seems like the appropriate term) but this trailer now make this game look so awesome. Suddenly I am so sad I don't have a PS4.

Is it Morrowind 2? No? How about Okami 2? No? Then it's not the best game ever.

It does look... adequate, but I will have to see the final product before I can say more than that. Once again, the color pallet is quite washed out, which makes me believe it's just another brown game that is afraid to stand out from the rest.
Definitely gotta agree with you on Okami 2, I would probably say that the first was my personal best game ever. I don't think I've played a game before or since with such a gorgeous world packed with charm and character.

As for the color palate? I wouldn't worry too much, the souls games have all had great visual variation, with distinctive areas (although it's fair to say that areas had their own color palate with somewhat limited variation). My guess is that since Bloodborne is being heavily touted as the spiritual successor to demons souls (both in tone and due to the return of the Big M) and since M has said that he was trying to evoke The Tower of Latria's atmosphere(the favorite area of many demons souls vets), that the areas we've seen in the gameplay trailers are purposefully Latria-esque. It's been a factor in marketing when trying to appeal to the fans of the series who may have felt DKs 2 was a weaker game, a return to form if you will.

Or I could be wrong and the entire game could take place in this beautiful (if tonally uniform) Victorian maze. In which case I'll be a bit disappointed. But I wouldn't worry too much about that personally.

Yeah, the only reason I rank Morrowind higher than Okami is because it just felt more open and limitless. Okami had me go on an epic adventure. Morrowind had me living one. Factoring in things like bugs and graphics, Okami probably is a better game, but I won't let it unseat Morrowind for me.

For those of you who wish to see the PC version, sign this petition [https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/from-software-release-bloodborne-for-the-personalized-computing-platform] to (hopefully) make it happen.

And I don't think Bloodborne will be the best game ever, as much as I'm looking forward to it; there's no way for me to know because I haven't played every game in existence, there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Maybe. Depends on whether or not Scalebound turns out to be Monster Hunter with Platinum Combat. Because if it is... oh dear I may never be seen again.

It might be. But if you go in this hyped you are going to have a worse experience when it isn't all your dreams coming true. What you need to do is hype down. Shift it into a lower gear.

You already know you are getting it day 1, so step away and start avoiding anything about this game. This will help you get less hyped and have the advantage of letting you experience the greatness of the game within the game itself instead of only getting tiny glimpses of greatness that only spoil the final product.

Goddamn, if there's one thing that I hate about ZP, it's this attitude.

If a game that you were excited for is bad, it's not gonna be a week of sadness. It'll probably be a few hours of disappointment. Hell, if a game has the capability to wreck your mood for more time than that, then you have your priorities wrong.
But...

but...

but...

Mass Effect 3 :(

According to someone on Reddit who has been at the Gamescom screening of the game, the town(Yarnam) is surrounded by other areas that all interconnect to Yarnam(which is supposedly going to be quite huge) just like Lordran in Dark Souls 1. There is also a screenshot of a swamp like area to support this claim, and ofcourse the words of Miyazaki himself who stated the world of Bloodborne would be interconnected.

Like I said though, I'm not one to easily buy into hype but for the first time I truly believe this will be the one game to live up to it. Maybe even exceed it.

...No. But it`s certainly going to fill that hole in my life where Nightmare Creatures 3 was supposed to be.

Oh god no. From Software has yet to make a good game and Bloodborne is now going to be best game ever, yeah right. The combat is horrible in Dark Souls (and it was their 2nd try). I didn't even try Dark Souls 2 because of how bad the 1st (or 2nd) one was. They know very little about RPG mechanics and combat mechanics. When a shooter has better shield controls than your combat game, your game sucks. And, lastly, From's enemy AI is pedestrian as it gets. AI is one of the main things games need to improve on.

No, or at least I highly doubt it. All we've seen is what the developer has wanted to show us, and that is an easy thing to do. We need to actually play the game and try it out before even considering it to be the Best Game Ever.

All that being said, I do admit that I am looking forward to it. Assuming all these promises work out, then it should go down as one of gaming's great titles.

Ok, seriously, is OP on From Software's payroll? I think the game looks good too, and I loved Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, but let's wait till we've seen a little bit more than 100 seconds of footage to determine whether the game is going to magically make us ascend into heaven.
