I dont know of any other possible lesbian relationships other than that lenlina (dont know hwo to spell it) chick But I think she was DLC so I never got her
0_0 Leliana is not DLC. She's in the bar at that doomed town you visit right after getting rescued from Ostagar. There's a cutscene introducing her as soon as you walk in. The only way to not find her is to avoid visiting the tavern. In a medieval fantasy RPG. You are doing it wrong.

OT: Dragon Age is not by far the most gay friendly game. There are no actually gay characters, only bisexual ones. And of those two, one is only interested in sex rather than any serious relationship and the other is difficult to get unless you know exactly what you're doing.
Harren and Wade are a gay couple, so I don't know why you're saying their are only bisexual ones.

Fable 3.

It isn't outwardly pro gay, but men and women can marry/sleep with the same sex. And whether you like it or not, the same sex will fall in love with your character all the time. It also states the sexuality of the person in their information bar.

Not that relationships mean shit in that game, it's just another pointless aspect of the Fable series that means sod-all.

Still, I have bought all three games. I am a mug (not the coffee kind).

I would definitely agree with others and say Persona 4 is more gay friendly than DA:O.

First of all, because Kanji isn't the flaming stereotype that either Lelianna or Zevran are.

Zevran: I'm too sexy for my shirt.

Lelianna: Oh excuse me, I'm sorry, just popped out of a male fantasy here. Yes, I do use sexcraft.

For Branka - she isn't really a main character. Kanji is. Branka is also one twisted *****, so it's difficult to judge whether or not she makes a compelling case for "gay friendly."

As far as characters from the books, I'm sorry, but they can't be included with the game. Most people who play the game aren't going to have read the books.

Actually, they have to have that trait in their description for that to happen. If you try to romance an NPC with the 'Straight' trait if your character is the same sex it wont work.

I wouldn't say Persona 4 is exactly "gay-friendly." Yosuke, as much as the fandom wants him to be a huge stonking gay, is a giant homophobe who never changes his attitude towards teh gay, and and the end of the game it's pretty obvious he's still uncomfortable around Kanji sometimes. And even after facing himself, Kanji is still in the closet and unable to really accept who he really is (not sure if he does if you finish his social link, I never did that).

It deals with homosexuality well, but not exactly in the most friendliest of ways, at least from its characters' POVs.

I'll be the first one to admit that everyone's favorite gay elf made me laugh uncomfortably before questioning my sexuality... okay maybe I didn't go that far but I still banged him for the achievement :p

My only big problem with Dragon Age: Origins is the only male gay/bisexual character you can date is, essentially, a whore. It just feel like it's repeating the stereotype bisexuals tend to have. However, I may just be looking too much into it.

In terms of gay friendly games...Dragon Age is defiantly up there. There's also The Sims, the Fable series and...Well...That's it. I really thought there was more, but others can be described as "nudges towards homosexuality" at best. One game I'd defiantly want to be able to make a gay character in though would be the Mount & Blade series. Yes, homosexuals did exist in medieval times (obviously), and there was even a king that is rumoured to of been gay. I don't think they'd be just pandering to certain audiences really if they granted this opportunity.

Ah yeah fair point. Don't they start to hate you if you keep trying to get with them but they are not gay? I can't remember. Not that I've tried that much, honest.

No. The relationships in these games are jokes, either homosexual or heterosexual. If you are straight did you really feel the relationships in these games were meaningful in anyway (woo achievement points!). It IS nice to see them actually have an option for it in games, so yes I'll give you that. But honestly, it isn't really much of anything.

At least Bioware actually TRY to put some real emotion into their relationships, unlike say, Peter Molyneux who just puts them in as another pointless distraction.

the urge to link to a flash space invaders game where you are a penis firing sperm at bums is quite hard to resist, if it wasn't for worrying what someone would do if they saw my history, I would have.

A relationship between a couple of random, non-essential side characters that has to be confirmed by the developer outside of the game doesn't really carry much weight.

While it may just be that, Fable II/III acts as if gay relationships/marriage is no big deal, which is the way it should be. No character, whether it be a support character, villager, or whatever, takes a disliking to you because you've married a guy or if you're a guy or a girl if you're a girl, which is great, whether it was intentional or not.

I wouldn't call Dragonage gay friendly, more acknowledging that people of homosexuality exsist.

Personally I found it pretty astounding they didnt get pulled on how, well, sterotype they made them, Zevran (To me anyway), a sex obessed spaniad elf in such little clothing a prostitute would tell him to put sommit on. He felt like such a forced sterotype I only had him in my team to get the acheivement (plus, I'm a dirty, stinking rogue), he really didnt add anything other than some awkward lines and (I dont know, so I'm sorry) but an insult to homosexual men who might have played it.

But, thats my 2cents on the topic, am I right? maybe, maybe not, its all a matter of opinion, personally I think WoW is more gay friend because you can have a male tauren n a male orc dance naked together and no one makes a fuss about it.
