Don't get me wrong, I am one of the biggest apple fan boys around (writing this on a macbook now) I respect the man for everything he's done but I don't know if going as him for halloween is appropriate or not. I wouldn't 'zombify' him or anything just the typical turtleneck and jeans look. Im sure a lot of people will do it but it will probably have the same impact as the steve irwin with a stingray costume a few years back. wat do yu guys think?

no?

i really don't see what the big deal is, yeah he died but that doesn't mean all the sudden he is taboo or something.

the charlie sheen mask is fucking huge this year, i'm sure steve jobs is by far a step down if anything to that...

and for being the biggest apple fan around, i feel truly sorry for your lots, as that's what i call "bad taste".

(always love a good mac joke)

... It's tempting to get a beige swimcap to emulate the male pattern baldness...

Fuck, I really have to stop myself from doing this.

Doesn't mean you're going around pretending not to care, and those are the people that truly bother me. I know if I died I'd find it amusing if people went around dressed as me for Halloween.

The only problem I would see with the "Steve Irwin with a stingray" costume would be the stingray part. If someone was just Steve Irwin, fine. But Steve Irwin with a stingray soon after his death, that's a bit inappropriate.

So as long as you're just dressing like Steve Jobs and not doing something stupid like making yourself look sickly and frail or something and go around saying stuff like "oh noez I'm dead" and then falling over or whatever, I don't see why there'd be a problem.

Just dressing up as him could be seen as a homage to him as a person.

Don't quite see how it would be bad taste if you aren't going to zombify him or make fun of his death.

Why are you asking?

If you feel the need to justify it then clearly you have your own doubts and assume other people will infact think it in poor taste.

I personally couldn't give a shit, but clearly you've already taken issue with it. My bigger concern would be that it's a pretty shite "costume". I mean really, the only reason you would choose to dress like that is to grab attention and achieve a few cheap laughs. Plus i thought the point of halloween was to dress as something scary? Or are you living in America land where you people seem to justify dressing up as anything on this occasion?

The again some people may find Steve Jobs scary... meh.

I don't see any problem with it.

I might not be the best person to ask though.

I guess, but still it doesn't really matter. And I kinda want to make a Dr.Light costume, and he's a rapist.

I don't see any problem with it as long as you aren't blatantly doing it to make fun of his death.

ie going around saying "Hey look I'm zombie jobs must eat apples" or something stupid like that

What other possible reason would there be? No one would genuinely believe he was paying homage. It's straight up taking the piss. Again, not saying I care either way, but he asked, and that's how people will see it.

I don't feel that it is in bad taste - but I do think it's a pretty cheap costume. It's barely dressing up (depending on how you generally feel about turtleneck sweaters).

If you're going to do it, then I'd say you better put the effort in and get the same brands he usually wears, shave and cut your hair so that it resembles his, and get some circular glasses.
