Steve Jobs? Its not in bad taste, but its alittle to soon.

Zombie Steve Jobs on the other hand..... I think its just the perfect time for it.

No , but it would be SOOOO lame. Halloween is for Horrorcostumes. And nothing else. Ghouls and Ghosts, Zombies and Abominations, thats the dresscode. Everything else is just missing the topic. So some would say a zombie Jobs would be "bad taste" but the ones knowing what halloween is about say "bad taste" is the way to go .

I don't think it would be bad taste, but I do think it would be a bit like cheating. Turtleneck & jeans is hardly a costume, unless you plan to mimic his face and glasses as well.

Also, we don't have Halloween here, but I've always thought horror-themed costumes were more appropriate.

If you wear a pin that says "R.I.P. Steve Jobs", then it's a tribute costume. Tributes are fine. Not exactly the most inventive costume in the world though. I'm sure you can do better :)

I think it would be alright. I think what made the Steve Erwin costumes poorly tasteful was the stingray barb. If it was just the outfit, maybe a mask, everyone would have been "Yeah, great costume." When the barb was added everyone just went "Nah man, not cool, not cool at all." Maybe it's a difference between perceived tribute and perceived mockery.

I personally don't see this as extremely offensive towards him, I mean, they still sold Micheal Jackson Halloween costumes after his death, tho granted it was not as close to Halloween as Steve jobs.

If you would have dressed as zombie Steve jobs however... that would of been a whole different story.

If you wear a pair of devil horns, that's in bad taste. If there's a halo, that might be better.

Kind of reminds me of the south park episode "Hell on Earth 2006" spoofing people being offended at someone dressing up as Steve Irwin(although that actually pissed a lot of people off).

Some won't find it offensive and some will but I guarantee the more vocal people who don't like it will not leave you alone until you admit you were "wrong" for even considering it.

I personally don't think it's in bad taste.

Yes, it's extremely too soon for that. Maybe next year, but beware the Apple fanboys who will cast scorn at your feet for disgracing their idol.

Seriously, it's going to be two weeks since the guy died? Unless it's a small party of people you know well and say it's in his memory and not as a dig then fine, but it'll still be in poor taste.

not to say that wasn't the origins of halloween, but the last time i saw someone that wore a costume that resembled anything "scary/horrifying", was probably 4-5 years ago, even then, 90% of the costumes i've seen people wear every year were just for the fun of dressing up, not the fact that it was scary.

it isn't "missing the topic", it's more of that no one our age "cares" for that topic, and just dresses up for the fun of it basically.

look up any costume store within 20 miles of you, if you can find one that has a majority of scary costumes over others, then i'll give you a cookie.
