The only way i'd ever be intrested in the eurovision is if that System of a down gets to represent armenia
Serj was going on about how he might work on armenia`s entry , anyone know if anything came of it???
That's odd, I was thinking about that earlier... Armenia were actually pretty crap this year, and they have a reputation for being good... Anyway, I'm glad now because we came 5th, which is the best for the UK since Jessica Garlick in 2002 (she was our last good singer until Jade Ewan this year). If we learn and next year continue to take it more seriously again then the UK will continue to be successful, and we may end up winning soon enough. For once. As it is, the best song won tonight, Norway were excellent and fully deserved their record victory, no other country has ever won by such a number of points...

America here. Hello The Rest of the World, how are you? I hope you're doing well. We're a little screwed over here in the states, but hey, what's new? No one's buying B-17s or fighting the Axis powers anymore. I was just curious, what is Eurovision? Is it like American Idol? What is the appeal? Political stuff? Russia threatening to cut off oil? WTF are you guys doing over there? At any rate, I have about forty large forest's worth of money to print, so I must be going. Take care dear The Rest of the World.

Sincerely,
America

P.S.
Did you know we elected a black guy as our president? Woot!
Right, why feel the need to get pissed off or sarcastic because the USA isn't in Eurovision? Did you know Australia isn't in it either? Wow, it's discriminatory against non-Europeans... Yeah. Right. There's nothing stopping the USA from doing their own song contest with Western Hemisphere countries, or from asking to join Eurovision. You'd possibly be accepted since Russia, Israel and Turkey aren't in Europe technically, but they're still in the contest. For now though, stop posting sarcastic comments just because this is a thread mainly for UK members.

Norway won.

:(
Yes, but I feel they fully deserved it. It was a great song and a well deserved win, and I'm really proud too of the UK entry for doing so well. Our best since Jessica Garlick in 2002, our last good entrant, so we should be pretty pleased with ourselves :)

Ooh. Touchy touchy. I wasn't being sarcastic, btw. I was asking. (This is sarcastic) America has a tendency to miss out on what's going on in the rest of the world, in case you haven't noticed. Eurovision seems like a big deal, and I don't feel like searching around for it on the net so I was just asking what it was. I was just trying to make you laugh with my little love note. There aren't rules against my posting in here, so bite me.

Eurovision was more fun when people DIDN'T take it seriously.

Where were the pirates this year?! Also, the twat we sent fell into the violinist! Am I the only one who thought she was average at best. Ukraine were awesome- more naked dancing roman soldiers please!

The Eurovision is dead...does anyone actually care about it, at all?
It was good this year...

The guy replacing terry wogan did a really good job. He actually made something of it and there where some good songs. Not NORWAY despite their victory.

Sweden really did suck this year, as always.

Maybe this count as post-farming, as always.

Look at the title. Do you see that little word 'Euro' in it? It means 'not welcome'.
It sounds so familiar, but I can't quite remember what quote you're paraphrasing.
It's from the dinner scene in AMerican HIstory X and was a joke btw. Eurovision is even obscure to some Europeans, don't worry.
