Lets see, Russia, Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, whiny boy band winner, bet most of those countries didn't vote willingly for Russia, more like: "vote for us or we cut the gas contract with your country."

to demonize the Russians more, they're busy beating up gays in Russia and breaking up the pro-gay protests while allowing anti-gay protests to go untouched.

C'mon people, the only reason that you watch an event like that is for the camp and ridiculous songs. This isn't a serious music competition, why all the people complaining?

We won when our country decided to send Lordi to the Eurovision. Did we learn from our success? Oh no, that would have been progress. Instead we decide to ignore whatever lesson it held and decide to send bands like Waldo's People to sing cheap songs that every country produces en-masse. The result: the losers of the finals.
