I think some eastern european countries might.

Apart from that, I don't think there's anything.
Uh? do I smell racism?

Sadly terry wogan is no longer doing it :( last year was his last time so i'll probably watch it this year and see if its still as hillarous with someone new but i get the feeling it wont be.

Heh, not a chance. I feel embarrassed watching it. There's often very little actual musical talent and instead it's about politics between the countries. The only thing I ever liked about it was Lordi.

As soon as neither the Pirates or the scantily clad Greek lady didn't win last year, my love for Eurovision decreased dramatically.

Plan B was much better though. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xp-ShbrbuY]

The only way i'd ever be intrested in the eurovision is if that System of a down gets to represent armenia
True, but that's like when Justin Hawkins tried to star in it. It's a good idea but no-one cares. Also, SOAD are on temporary hiatus (Means they're in denial of saying that they've broken up).

Lmao, every year I want one of the Irish candidates to actually play this.

Admittedly my favourite so far has been this one:

God knows how they expected to win, but its catchy as hell.

No, I don not even want to hear of it, as every damn radio/TV station in my country will play the winning song or the song that represents my country and I'll have to stop listening to radio. Again. And I just found a decent radio station -_-

It's stopped being a contest, and is more of a political vote system. Us Brits aren't bery popular in Europe at the moment, which is why we've not done so well in the last couple...

Sorry 'bout that.
To answer the question, I'm not bothered about it at all and I never have been.
Of course the recent winners Serbia and Russia belong to the most loved countries in Europe(note irony). I don't think that politics has any impact on who wins eurovision (what does decide it is open to discussion, general consensus in Sweden is that the songs that win are awful).

That been said I am completely apathetic towards it(I never listen to any music), it will however give the Swedish media something to get worked up about(they seem to be the only ones who care about it) .

All the eastern european countries vote on each other. Its a conspiracy!

Us dutch have a secret weapon though.

Were secretly just trying to get rid of them.

Considering the noise pollution that counts as music in these things, hell no.

OI!

Do not stereotype us!
Well, is the eurovision song contest more popular over in Poland and other Eastern European country?

I heard it was, maybe it isn't. I didn't mean to sterotype you.

No, you don't. I'm just saying that the eurovision song contest is generally more popular in Eastern Europe. That's what I heard anyway.

Well, maybe in Russia they care about it. We don't. At least I do not.

I myself LOVE the Eurovision song festival. :D Our submission (I'm Dutch, by the way) will probably make people projectile vomit uncontrollably, which I'm really looking forward to. You're welcome. ;) I always watch with a buddy from Denmark, we webcam chat together and have a few beers and make really snide comments about the participants. Good fun!

When is it anyway?
