ok so then what are you arguing?

That the rhyme "Sticks and Stones" is utter bullshit. Words do harm and while simple namecalling is not so much of an issue with adults there are still limitations on the Freedom of Speech in regard of hate speech, slander and incitement to crime which can harm indiviuals / society.

True, they can cause harm. But I think thats only in extreme situations. If I'm walking down the street and a car drives by and a guy calls me an ass, it really doesn't have much effect.

This example is what I meant with simple namecalling.

And the other situations that I assume your referring to(like the WBC) are rather extreme cases.
