The mistake being underestimating how long it takes to make a truly good game for modern systems? The graphical creations and renders take forever, somebody does have to make all of these things. The coding takes awhile as well, especially near the end with bug testing. Heck, the storyline (Which is supposed to live up to what many consider great standards in HL2) probably takes months to even come up with a draft for. And it'll probably change as the project moves forward. Quality games can't be thought up, written, coded, and fancied up in any short amount of time. Not 12 years, no, but I think we can cut them some slack.archvile93 said:They'll release it. It will just take five years longer than it should've. Anyway, I stopped caring the second I played half-life 2. I honestly don't know why it gets such great reviews. It's good; I just don't think it's the second coming of jesus that everyone makes it out to be. It doesn't matter though, as I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in the worlsd who thinks this. Sorry got off topic, yes it will come, just be patient.
EDIT: as soon as I posted I realized the horrible mistake I made, please no one start a flame war with this, I beg you all. For those who love HL2, I meant no disrespect.
