Does anyone else feel like Bungie is just milking all of the money and success out of the Halo games? Or is it just me? I just get the feeling that Bungie is just in it for the money now. Because personally, I haven't thought the Halo games have been good since the second game. The third was decent, I guess. Of course I could be wrong, and this is just my opinion on it. What do you guys think?

There have been FIVE Halo games (not including different editions), one of them not even made by Bungie. And after Reach, it's handed off to Microsoft and they're done with it.

In comparison to other series, Bungie is NOT milking it.

Personally I think both Halo 3 and ODST are more fun than Halo 2. Aren't opinions fun?

At least Bungie avoided the 'let's make a game every year and flood our market' ala what Call of Duty's going through with Activision's descent into madness. At least the games have been paced out for a couple years, Halo Wars and ODST might have been a little bit of a milking, but to be honest they're doing far better then most series (see: Madden, various Nintendo franchises, etc.).

Well Nintendo has been trash for awhile. Their recent titles have set the bar pretty low. And I don't even Like the CoD games anymore. Call of Duty 4, I thought was good. But I didn't really like Modern Warfare 2. And I'm not buying Black Ops.

Do you think they would have put all the time and tears and blood into Reach to make it great, while staying in touch with their fan-base like they have, if they didn't care for the series, and wanted it to go out with a bang?

If they were milking it, and just after the money, like you think, they would have gone the MW2 way and blown half of their budget on marketing instead.

Well Bungie handed off the Halo ip to Microsoft after Reach, so no. Now MICROSOFT on the other hand, they're going to be milking it for all its worth.

umm... if they were only in it for the money, they would make another game after reach. Your theory is BS, because the reason they will stop making games is because its all that's left to be said. I consider milking making next to no differences each game with no real effort put in year after year.

So considering this is the last halo game they make before they make a new series (then have their soul consumed by activision and start making cod 19) I wouldn't say it's milking, especially if you see the massive differences in the game.

If anyone says Reach and 3 are the same game, they are simply a lying idiot who hasn't looked at the game. Now if they say they don't like it fair enough, but it's very different as a game and certainly not milking.

Does anyone else feel sorry for the new company who has to make a halo game after bloody reach? That is one hell of a task.

Halo wars was a crock of shit and odst got a little stinky in single player but i still enjoy 1-3.

Some of the time halo detractors actually have valid points regarding flaws with the games, other times its simply because the games are popular...

usually its the same crowd that put games like a shadow of the colossus on a pedastal, a game I thought was ok but a little dull after a while, I preferred ico but ultimately both games seemed to me to to pale in comparison to earlier classics like another world, flash back or the origional prince of persia. So at the end of the day I guess its pretty much a matter of taste.

Yeah. That's true. The only part of ODST I liked was Firefight. Which is pretty much a recreation of Horde from Gears of War. But some say that Firefight did it better, which excuses it.
