Yeah. I can see your point. I was unaware that Bungie was merging with Activision.Demon ID said:I consider milking making next to no differences each game with no real effort put in year after year.
So considering this is the last halo game they make before they make a new series (then have their soul consumed by activision and start making cod 19) I wouldn't say it's milking, especially if you see the massive differences in the game.
If anyone says Reach and 3 are the same game, they are simply a lying idiot who hasn't looked at the game. Now if they say they don't like it fair enough, but it's very different as a game and certainly not milking.
Does anyone else feel sorry for the new company who has to make a halo game after bloody reach? That is one hell of a task.
So rhinos too look like master chief it's not just me.MegaDale said:It is NEVER just you. NEVER EVER. EVER. EVERER. True story.
Remember when Halo Wars was made? Because it was an RTS instead of an FPS, people acknowledged that the game might differ greatly. And thus, didn't know what to expect.Demon ID said:Does anyone else feel sorry for the new company who has to make a halo game after bloody reach? That is one hell of a task.
Actually, they aren't merging at all. Bungie signed an exclusive 10 year publishing deal for a new IP that they (Bungie) will maintain all rights too. Basically, Bungie gets to make whatever game series they want for 10 years while Activision handles all the marketing/promotion/funding/etc. After the 10 years, Bungie is free to go where it wants (and I'd imagine they could even make other games completely without Activision in that 10 year period as long as it's not within the contracted IP). Essentially Activision gets to sit on it's ass and make money in the way it does best, which is sell product, and Bungie gets someone else to foot the bill for what they do best, which is make the games they went to make.JoeBattisti said:Yeah.
