I just downloaded the beta for MAG and I have to say, its pretty awesome. I cant wait to see what the maps will look like with 256 players and the other game modes sound pretty varied and fun.

But is it worth the 40 or so pounds? I already have MW2, which is awesome too; but will MAG be enough to make me stop playing MW2?

I was considering buying this or Assassin's Creed 2: so which one is better do you think? I know its hard to judge a game just on it's Beta but will it be worth the money?

If you prefer online multiplayer then go for MAG.

If not then Assassins Creed 2 would be the one to get.

I think the *idea* of MAG is really cool. The realization of said idea though, will probably consist of lots of lag, rubberbanding, grenade spam, annoying people/children with microphones, and Sniper Bastards.

So I guess I have an official "We'll see" stance.

Oh, and get AssCreed 2. Worth it. Worth it, worth it, worth it. MAG can come later.

The MAG beta just filled me with "meh". It will probably be an alright multiplayer game like Warhawk but won't make me run to the shop to get it.

It depends on your opinion of the Beta, if you liked it then sure go and buy Mag, however if you didn't like the beta then don't bother. Also Assassins Creed 2 is a fantastic game and I would recommend picking it up, although if money is a problem then perhaps you could rent it instead.

Are you a type of person who plays a game for what it is worth then moves on? Then get Assassin's Creed 2. If you are the type of person to squeeze every last bit out of every game, then get MAG.
Your not exactly being fair are you?

I'd rent Assassins creed 2, because once you beat it you won't really want to play it again

I've gotta say, for those who were comparing MAG to MW2, MW2 is just so much more fine tuned and polished. The leveling up, unlocks, and perks system really help to make the experience. I look at MAG and its just another bland shooter, only this time with 256 pre-pubescent, grenade spamming douchebags. Also, the graphics are frankly pathetic considering the times; World at War on the FUCKING WII looked better than this game. (and i hated world at war) So yeah, brilliant concept but the delivery is just boring.

As for Assassins Creed 2, if you have not played it yet, why THE FUCK are you sitting on the forums you idiot, go get it NOW.

You'd be surprised actually; I've been playing it all week and have experienced none of these problems, aside from the sniper bastards, but even they're not so bad in comparison to other games.

Just so anyone who is interested knows, there's an Escapist MAG group: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/MAG-Clan
its true, the maps are fooking huge and no one uses the nades because they want the med syringe or smoke. im sniping myself, but i only get like 10-20 kills per match, no one uses their mics and the hit detection is great. i hope the visuals improve in the full game however.

Assassin's Creed II doesn't have much replay value.
True, but its a single player game. i love the game but comparing a multi-player game to a single player in terms of replayability is unfair.

Even as awesome as the MAG beta was,i found Ass-creed more enjoyable.I'm actually in my third play-through and still having fun.
